This was our first time up here and we saw Michael Perry's Population 485 play (which was amazing). It was easy to find and plenty of people were there to take tickets and direct parking. Getting out afterward was a little bit of a mess so we just waited until most of the cars had left before attempting it. The... More

Nothing fancy, but clrpean, friendly and safe venue to see some great entertainers. Supringly easy to park and get back out in a timely manner. Reasonably priced tickets, and food.

Talk about a performance which will touch your soul! He made us laugh, he made us cry, he made us feel like we were there with them! This venue has easy access, easy parking, a nice selection of beer and drinks at the bar and eats, with very comfortable seating and a spacious stage. We will be back!

Great concert venue as it is small (1000 seats) and not really a bad seat anywhere. It is a tent so bring a sweater if you're prone to being chilly! Full bar service and snack food is also available. The free shuttle service is a great option for folks staying in Bayfield and Ashland. Though, I would say, signs on the... More

Went to see Ruthie Foster at BTC on Saturday night. Wonderful warm up group Room2Groove and Ruthie's own bass player and drummer were excellent showcase for the powerful pipes and extensive vocal range that Ruthie exhibits. But the venue itself when told we had a guest with a sprained ankle, had us drive up front and used a golf cart... More

Saw 4 wonderful concerts at Big Top Chautauqua this summer. It's a wonderful venue, with big names. Saw Oak Ridge Boys, Johnny Lang, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, and Emmy Lou Harris. There are many local shows, too, put on by the Blue Canvas Orchestra.

I always try to get over to Big Top for at least one show per year. This year, we saw a "house" show, "From Belfast to Bluegrass", then made another trip for the Shawn Colvin - Steve Earle concert. BEST place for concerts in the area! Food is available too, cheeseburgers, veggie burgers, brats. Good selection of beer on tap... More

My partner and I drove up to see KD Lang with Case and Views in August. Having never been to the Big Top we were unsure of what we would find. What a pleasant surprise! Located on a ski hill in winter and performance venue in summer, Big Top Chautauqua is a throw back summer, relaxed venue. Yes, under a... More

This is a very nice place to see some big name acts during the summer season. We saw Shawn Colvin and Steve Earle the same week they played in Chicago. The prices were actually higher at Big Top than in Chicago, but Big Top is a relatively intimate venue that's off the beaten path, so I can understand that it... More

I attended Riding the Wind at the Big Top Chautauqua, as I have done every year for many years. Throughout the history of the show, performers have come and gone, but it has always been first rate. Last night was the exception. Lines were blown or missed. The beautiful harmonies have been replaced by some less beautiful (and SO FLAT... More
