This is a genuine antique store. Over 70 vendors and at least 90 booths. Antiques and collectibles galore! Although it is hot in the summer, fans are placed throughout the store. The building is an old department store, it is 3 levels. One of the owners recently passed, both owners were out for the month of June. Maybe that explains the complaints of the previous shopper.

Floors and floors of treasure galore! I always shop GAM first because I love shopping local and reusing previously loved items instead of buying new. The vendors change their booths regularly, so there’s always something new to find. Sometimes, they even have a security dog there named Jax who will let you pet him and give him treats! The owners and staff are helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a great place to bring visitors and a real gem in our cute, historic downtown area.

If you are planning to visit Greeneville, TN and you are an antique lover, you will want to be sure to visit the Greeneville Antique Market on Depot Street in the heart of downtown! We frequent it quite often and enjoy hunting for treasures in the many rooms and the upstairs, usually always finding something to take home that we "just can't live without." The sisters who own and run the store are just a delight and will make every effort to find out whatever they can about an item from the vendors if they don't know about it themselves. If you like glassware, crocks, bottles, furniture, baskets, artwork, toys, you will find it here, and so much more! So, plan on giving yourself time to take in the GAM and find the treasure that you "just can't live with out."

I am unfortunately infected with a bug...a long time generational illness !!!! I like to shop....as a result...I can say with certainty that I have visited the majority of antiquing spots in the United States.....Brimfield...New York pier shows, Charleston international antiques fair, heart of country, and the list goes on and on.....antiques malls run the gamut from true gems to "oh why did I waste my time"...

If you are ever in the East Tennessee area, don't miss the Greeneville antique market.....the selection, quality, friendly atmosphere and great staff make it a must see....

Keep up the good work gang and keep the positive attitude !!!!

As a traveler, I must say that I was impressed with the Greeneville Market Antique. Lovely Shop, wonderful sales people. The shop is clean and inviting. Every booth well stocked. The bathrooms are spotless, and nicely decorated. As I shopped around I could hear the ladies in the front greeting every customer that walked through their doors. I was very happy to see that they had storage for my handbag. I was able to lock my handbag and shop freely without fearing that I would knock something over with my bag. As an antique collector I frequent quite a few shops around the country and I must say their prices are unbeatable. The ladies are so willing to help and very knowledgable. There is a little piece of history for each customer that walks through their doors. I will make it a point to visit the shop every time I am in Tennessee. Loved, loved my visit.
Coffee and cookies are on the house.

As a local I can honestly say there is not much to do in Greeneville. When I am stir crazy I head to GAM. It is a great place spend a few hours browsing. There are tons of booths on several floors. The building itself is historic has an interesting layout. The owners here are one of the few in Greeneville that actually adhere to their posted hours. When I am done shopping I head next door to Tipton's, a local favorite hole-in-the-wall kind of place, that is short on fancy but good on burgers and the like with a super friendly staff. Fridays are the best of both worlds with antiques at GAM and banana pudding at Tipton's (which serves breakfast and lunch).

A converted old-time department store, the Greeneville Antique market seems to go on forever. Around every corner you'll find fun and interesting antiques both large and small. Rare is the time I go in there and don't end up buying some treasure I never even knew I wanted.
If you are feathering your nest or just have some time to explore, stop by! Parking is easy and right in front of the store
