I was booked to do an experience with Mariana's Trekking in March 2020 that got cancelled for obvious reasons. When it was time to rebook my trip, I decided to check in and see if I could book the same experience with them. I ended up booking more than I was originally scheduled for because these folks were so wonderful, flexible, and offering awesome experiences at a time when it is (understandably!) really hard to find things to do that are not shut down. I did the Grotto snorkeling, off road buggy, and hike to Forbidden Island and would recommend all of them. I had a different guide for each adventure and they were all great in their own ways. Randy took me snorkeling and was very fun to talk to, he looked out for me so I could just focus on the experience. Jerry was super patient helping me learn the off-road buggy (I don't drive and this was my first time, so he had his work cut out). Johnny was my guide on the Forbidden Island Trek, he kept the conversation flowing and knew so much about the area so he was able to point out a bunch of great stuff. The hike is challenging, as they say on the website, but so rewarding. It was the thing I almost didn't book but ended up being my favorite experience. Every single person I interacted with thought of ways to make me feel comfortable and help me enjoy my trip, both the guides and the support staff. Jojo was so accommodating and quick to respond to questions, their service really was above and beyond--and that was true with how flexible they were in our interactions both before and after COVID. If you get a chance to go on an adventure with these guys, I really recommend it. They made my time in Saipan exponentially better than it would have been.

I went on the Marianas Trekking Saipan Tour - Blue Grotto Snorkeling on a Sunday in November. Sadly I was the only one on the tour but I'm glad Marianas Trekking didnt cancel the snorkeling tour. My snorkeling guide Arman was very nice and great at guiding me. Unfortunately, the current was very strong and waves were crazy so there wasn't alot of fish. But I still had fun and it was beautiful.

Four of us joined Jerry for a bit of off roading fun. The guides made sure that everyone was comfortable, safe and prepared for success.fun was had by all. We appreciated their care and the special treats they shared.

It was mid-summer and there was a lot of rain due to a typhoon, so it wasn't that great. Rather than island snorkeling, I recommend sea walking, parasailing(?), and deep sea diving. If you go snorkeling at the beach, be careful of the coral.

I joined Off road adventure and Kayaking tours. Tours are well organized starting with pick up, all the gears, shoes and accessories you need for the tours are provided. Staff are friendly, I was assigned with tour guide Sandy for both of the tours who I want to sent my credits to.
I took the double buggy on Off Road Adventure, they let us did some practices first to ensure everyone felt comfortable and the buggy function well before we got start, the tour stopped by for fresh coconut juice and coconut ‘sashimi ‘ which are tasty, then reach the beautiful hidden beach for a break and return.
The Kayaking itself was not special if compare to other tours but I have to say the sea where we Kayak and snorkel is really crystal clear. The tour end with using the Spa facilities which was one of the highlight, it served hot spa facing the ocean, a good place to view sunset and relax after a day of adventure.

This was well worth the effort to do. A bit of a hike to get there but nothing someone with an average level of fitness can do if you take your time. Big shout out to our guide Johnny, did a great job and safety was always front of mind, he looked after us well. Suggestion to the team there, rather than having to buy the whole slide show of pictures, allow a pick and choose on line for individual pics, just a suggestion. Overall, very professional set up and execution, reccomended.

The trips need to be updated with this group. They may not offer all that is described. The trips are good but expensive for what they are. They prefer customers who dont mind paying and then receiving a basic tour. They will be many excuses to get you to accept very little eventhough you pay a decent price. But just more of the same on Saipan. All tourists are ATM machines leaving in a day or two.

I would really like to find out more about your experience. This activity you reviewed is one we take a lot of pride in, it includes hotel pick up and drop off, safety briefing at our Adventure Center, transportation to and from the Grotto, professional snorkeling gear, a guided snorkeling experience inside the Grotto, and some additional sightseeing. Many of our guides are also trained professional photographers with professional gear. Even with the electric assist on the E-bikes there were some hills to climb going up Marpi Point but the views were worth it! Grotto snorkeling would be scary without a guide so we were thankful to have gone with Mariannas Trekking!

Incredibly fun and breathtaking sights above and below water. Beautiful hike from the top of a mountain down to a secret coral cave, then snorkeling, and back up. Our guides Ryan and Johnny were great company. Johnny made a memorable DVD for us afterward, which we watched while munching popcorn back at the office (and purchased). If you want an amazing experience discovering natural Saipan, go with Marianas Trekking.

Here is something a little more then adventure...
living in Saipan for some time i have never could imagine how familiar farms and roads could bring so much fun and exiting fillings. with well organised and polite guides, i and my daughter (5 years old) had so much fun! wether you are a visitor or a local resident i will advise you to take this adventure and experience "Welcome" from Marianas Trekking!

Two questions:
1: What is the sequence of the stops? Is swimming at the Grotto last? (Do we need to plan to change back into dry clothes after swimming if there is more riding to do?)
2: If we take the afternoon (330PM) tour, is there also a stop at the Grotto to swim/snorkel?

Hi, If you are talking about our Bike Adventure we stop during the bike ride in both morning and afternoon for a swim (actually a snorkel if you want as we bring masks) We recommend you wear your swimmers for the bike ride or under your clothes so that it's easy to jump in. You can air dry:) We don't always swim, it depends on ocean conditions. Usually it's ok.
We also offer a stand along grotto snorkeling activity at 9:30, 12:30, and 15:00 daily, with a much longer snorkel time inside the grotto.

I will only have Monday on the island and this looks like a nice tour with history, nature, the grotto and the spa. Can you advise on where the pick up and drop off is for this? Also, what time does the afternoon tour end? Thank you. I am 55 and in moderate condition. Just checking to ensure this is moderate activity.

We offer free pick up and drop off service at most of the major hotels on Saipan and this tour ends before dark, you can usually enjoy sunset from the Spa.
