This is the spot for the absolutely most beautiful views of the GGB. You can hike around (very steep) hills to get right to the edge of the cliff or take the stairs all the way down to the beach. I can’t believe there weren’t...More

If you want the iconic photograph of the Golden Gate Bridge then you need to hike down to Marshall's Beach. Take the Batteries to Bluffs trail starting from Langdon Court on the North end. A little less than one quarter mile from Langdon Court you...More

Been here on my hiking across the coastal line. The beach does have great views of the Golden Gate Bridge (GGB). It is also very secluded, surrounded by a cliff. Having said that, it would be smart to come after the afternoon if you are...More

If you're not a guy and don't lean toward the gay end of the sexual spectrum, you'd do better sticking to Baker Beach or the beaches at Crissy Field, or else brave seeing some things you probably don't wanna see. :) My first time at...More

Worth the hike down to the beach, or at least down the stairs to get the best view of the Golden Gate Bridge and the bay. Breathtaking! The stairs are quite steep, so not great for those unable to climb many steps. One of the...More

If you're down for a 20 minute easy hike down stairs, you'd better plan on coming here. Too beautiful to miss and SO close to downtown.

Marshall's lies to the North of the more popular and much easier to get to Baker Nudist Beach about 1/2 mile away. The beach itself is very narrow against the cliffs and parts can get cut off at high tide making it difficult to scramble...More
