About
Join us as we learn, drink, and celebrate craft beer on a neighborhood walking tour that visits 3 breweries/beer bars. Take a brewery tour, drink a bunch of great local beer, and learn fascinating insights about local breweries, San Francisco beer history, and the neighborhood you walk through! The neighborhoods we tour are SoMa, Haight-Ashbury, Fisherman's Wharf, North Beach, and The Dogpatch. Consider combining your tour with the official Alcatraz tour! Private group tours are also available. They are perfect for Bachelor and Bachelorette parties, birthdays, or when friends visit from out of town. They also make great corporate group tours and team building events.

A fantastic tour with so many great attributes! Where to start...

The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the different kinds of beer we were tasting. I would usually stay away from certain types of beer, as my go-to is typically a light variety. But the styles Adam introduced me to were very tasty alternatives. Now I know I don't have to shy away from bigger and bolder beers!

We visited three places on the Big Sippin' in SoMa tour. First, a local brewery, Cellarmaker, which is an up and coming San Francisco favorite. Second, a long standing well known locals bar called Tempest. And finally Mikkeller, where we tried some unique styles, including a sour, which was really intertsing to learn more about.

I would highly recommend a tour with SF on Tap, and I'm looking forward to experiencing the other tour options too!

I'm relatively new to the Bay Area and have been enjoying exploring my craft beer options here but thought it would be nice to get the insider scoop on the scene in San Francisco. I went on the 'Big Sippin' in SOMA' tour with a friend after doing some internet research and was really impressed.

We made three completely different stops that all had different vibes and awesome brews. Our guide - Adam - was super knowledgeable about the beers and neighborhood history (he enlightened us on walks between bars which were not far at all) but beyond that went out of his way to get the tour members comfortable with each other and promote a good and familiar energy in the group.

We tasted Saisons, Sours, IPAs, and a variety of other beers. There really was a lot more beer than I thought there would be! I liked the sour beer and Adam recommended a spot for me to check out on my home turf in the East Bay - Rare Barrel in Berkeley. He seemed to really know his stuff and have great relationships with the establishments we visited. I'm not sure if it happens all the time or not but the GM of Mikkeller even took us behind the scenes to see their crazy tap system downstairs, it was really neat!

Long story short this is a great tour. I tasted many beers I never had before, went to some bars I certainly wouldn't have found on my own, and had a super fun afternoon with other beer lovers. I would recommend it to anyone - local or not!

As a repeat patron of food and drink tours around the world, it was great to see the availability of this tour. The owner of SF on Tap, Adam, was our guide on a brisk but sunny day. We met him along with a dozen or so other "drinking buddies" in a cool local brew pub. Adams excitement and knowledge were fantastic. Although it was a bit loud and nearly impossible to hear all that he had to say in the electric environment of the first bar. As we walked along to our next stop, Adam provided detailed history and narratives on the many street murals and other elements of the Mission area. Two more stops, each with a variety of beers along with a couple of snacks! The next day Adam emailed pictures of the group and a listing of the beers that we enjoyed. Great day, great tour, great host. Recommended.

Enrique and Dylan were brilliant hosts, the pairing was perfect, with Enriques knowledge of beer technique, styles and characteristics paired with Dylan's knowledge of locations history, beer characteristics and significant moments in SF was everything you need in a walking tour. We met Josh, the owner of the SF brewing company, this was a nice addition. The distance between venues was perfect, you could absorb the information and plenty of time to ask questions. The amount of tastings is generous, and for a non beer drinker, I may now be converted, thanks Dylan and Enrique, a perfect start to our stay in SF...thanks for the tip about Tonys pizza, me managed to get a table after a 25min wait, perfect! Oh, the t-shirts are super cool, nice design

What a great day, we spent the morning visiting Alcatraz at our own pace which was unbelievably good, then met up with out guide, Enrique and a group of 8 others to start our SF on Tap tour.
Enrique was a fantastic host, had a great knowledge of the craft beer industry and provided everyone with great commentary of San Francisco as we walked between the different venues.
Would definitely recommend this tour

Let me start by saying this was excellent in every way. This tour was grouped with a morning trip to Alcatraz, which is a must-see while in SF. We learned the history of the prison in a self-guided tour and it was great. In the afternoon we met Henrique at SF Brewery Co, sampled several fresh craft brews, and learned about the brewing process. After this, the tour included a walk to two local pubs, more excellent local craft beer, and the history of the neighborhoods as we walked. The tour was excellent. Henrique was very knowledgeable about beer. We sampled 10 brews all together (lagers, IPA, sours, etc) and learned about them in the process. If you are looking for a pub crawl, this is not for you - if you are looking to learn about beer, sample some, and have a cool experience in SF, this is definitely for you.

Had a fantastic tour by Cameron and visited 3 bars which we all got a sample of 4 drinks. Tour take around 4 hours and does involve a little walking but nothing to heavy. Had some history thrown in as well so all in all a very pleasant afternoon.

Like most of the reviews, we booked this tour for the Alcatraz portion but thoroughly enjoyed the craft beer tour. In the morning is Alcatraz, you can stay as long as you want and it’s at your own pace. Lunch is on your own and then in the afternoon you meet your group for the beer tour. Our guide Henrique did a great job picking beers for everyone’s palate and was very knowledgable about each. We were even given the opportunity to choose what we wanted to drink at one of the stops to customize our experience. I would highly recommend this tour, we had a great time trying different beers and seeing some sights along the way.

Great tour. Worth the time. The audio program made it realistic. We met one f the last surviving prior inmates (purchased signed copy of his book.
Beer Tour
We began the San Francisco on Tap Craft Beer Walking Tour at this location. Met with Josh the owner. A committed entrepreneur. Our guide Henrique did a superb job detailing the beer-making process, as we sampled several. The walking tour continued through Fisherman's wharf, ending in an Indian restaurant/Irish pub near little Italy. We had a great time. Highly recommended.
