Guide very knowledgeable, but talked fast and difficult to follow. Would have liked to get a better understanding of what life was like back then and how the area has changed.

This was an excellent two and a half hour tour. Our guide, Stan, is a historian, and provided a very thorough, fascinating discussion of the history of the Haight community, predating the Summer of Love in 1967 and taking us up to the present. He...More

I have waited 50 years to take this tour and the insight given by Stan was worth it. A Deadhead since 1968, it was finally worth the wait. Thank you for fulfilling one of my lifetime dreams.

The area surrounding the intersection of Haight and
Ashbury streets, “The Haight” still exudes vibes of
the 1960s counterculture as a haven for vintage
clothes, music, pop posters and body piercing shops.
While the Summer of Love ended decades ago,
Haight-Ashbury has turned into a melting pot of
hippies, hipsters, and professionals. Walking through
its streets can still feel like stepping back in time.
