Great views of the Pacific ocean, beach, and ruins from the baths. Skip the fancy restaurant though the casual restaurant is worth eating at to at least see the views. You can walk out the point north of Cliff House as well. It is far from downtown San Francisco.

We did the bottomless brunch on Sunday's at the cliff house. Free sparkling wine whilst you eat and there is no shortage of it! Would highly recommend the egg shells filled with a peanut/ caramel - like creme. Delish!

I'm not a huge fan of the restaurant but I like the occasional visit to the bar because the scenery is amazing. Cheers! P.S. The bar has a separate menu and is probably easy to get seated.

A splashy place to impress tourists -- or better, let cousin Mary from Ohio treat YOU after showing her around town all day. Waves crashing on seal rock make for a stunning backdrop for your dinner, which tends toward the expensive side with small, artfully arranged servings. But the crab cakes are better than anything you'll find on Fisherman's Wharf,... More

Worthwhile going to if you are in the area. We went after going to Golden Gate Park as it is a short walk from the ocean end of the park. Amazing history and incredible photos of what Cliffhouse looked like prior to the fire in 1907. Has lovely restaurant with great views and a good bar where we stopped for... More

This is a place to eat and drink. Otherwise, it's just a drive by. Historic location. It has been renovated. Far away location. Visit it if you are visiting the Pacific Ocean area. Expect to spend some money in eating here.

Love this place !!! It is situated in a special beach with beautiful views. Their food is really very good and their service excellent. They have live jazz and it makes it really special. Everytime we go to San Francisco we go to this place because we love it !!!

A tourist trap with a very expensive place to eat. This is not the original Cliff House but a cheap imitation used to lure in tourists. Skip this overhyped place and walk up a bit to Sutro Baths instead.

We literally stumbled upon The Cliff House while walking the trails at Lands End. We walked into this beautiful Old restaurant on a cliff, hence Cliff House, that was built in the early 1900's. The walls are covered with autographed pictures of celebrities that have dined at this establishment. This restaurant has a lot of history. The elegant old wood... More

If you are pressed for time, I would recommend skipping over this site. It used to have quite a bit of allure and a more interesting attraction, but it has declined as it's aged. Two of it's most interesting aspects are, 1) the ruins of Sutro Baths, best visited on the Internet, and 2) the view of Ocean Beach, which... More
