Dobbs Bar looks fun and modern. It's connected to the Dobbs Ferry restaurant. It's in Hayes Valley and pretty yuppy. It seems to serve local professionals and tourists. I was in the neighborhood and decided to have a burger with a pineapple juice. A TripAdvisor reviewer said the service was cold and not warm. I agreed with that. I liked the atmosphere and location. The concept is good. The menu is good. The burger was interesting and not boring. Not cheap either. Fun times.

We popped in to check out Dobbs Bar. It is under new ownership and we anticipate an even better neighborhood bar. This is the only sports bar in the area. It is attached to Dobbs Ferry restaurant. Easy to wait for dinner reservations here. They are opening early for World Cup and are in tune with what is going on in the Sports broadcasting. Easy walk to the symphony and Orpheum Theater as well. Full bar and good selection of beers on tap. Looking forward to seeing update and spending some time here!

Appreciate a good pub. Service was cold. I know here I am, locals always get preference. But not great.

Dobbs Bar is attached to the Dobbs Ferry Restaurant, which has a much different feel than the bar. Dobbs Bar is your basic neighborhood watering hole. Simple decor, not many seats (and all of them are either tall chairs at small tables, or at the bar), and what appears to be a fair number of regulars. Decent selection of beers on tap, and a full bar. Interesting list of bar bites to choose from. Prompt Aand friendly service. We needed a place to hang out while waiting for our dinner reservation time, and Dobbs Bar fit the bill.

This is a great place to go to catch a game, grab a drink and bite after work or just hang out. You can tell that early and later in the evening there are quite a few regulars frequenting the bar stools and it's a good casual place to go before a performance at nearby Davies, Symphony Hall or the Jazz Center.
