Finnegans is a quintessential neighborhood bar where everyone knows your name. Best bloody in town, lots of beers on tap and of course a full bar. Back patio is awesome with a ping pong and lots of seating for sunny days.

They just did a great remodel, new owner, I believe. It's a great traditional Irish Pub with just enough Bay Area flare. There's plenty of Guinness, plenty of Bushmills', and their signature Bloody Mary. Concert posters adorn the rich wood, great back patio with a mural by a local artist on the wall.

It's a dive bar with a grouchy bartender. They only take cash (apparently, unless that applied only to us), and have lots of the same beer you can get elsewhere. Walking around Cole Valley and got thirsty. The Irishness of the place is somewhat lost in the interior - this is mostly a dusty sports bar. Pluses: Reasonable friendly service, cheap drinks, they have cider. Minuses: The place is a tad bit dreary and dusty.
