Neighborhood: Mission District
From burritos to bicyclists, the Mission is the foundation for all things hip in the city. Cultural attractions, an independent arts community, sumptuous street murals and a high density of bars and cafes make this neighborhood a magnet for young people. While terrific inexpensive food is abundant, its top-of-the-line restaurants now compete with the city’s best for fashionable diners. Indulge as the locals do by heading to Mission Dolores Park, buy some ice cream, and savor one of the most diverse neighborhoods in the country.

Great spot to hang out and feel comfortable
Jun 2014 • Couples
My girlfriend and I were in town for Pride Day. We're new to the scene in general, so didn't know much about anything! I saw this club's review in travel guides, so we thought we'd give it a try. Very welcoming atmosphere. Maybe because of the weekend's activities, but there were women from all walks of life and all stages of sexuality. Nice diversity. Good strong drinks. Bartenders were B-U-S-Y but moved fast, were friendly, and made some great drinks. Music was pumping. Hardly any space to dance, but we found some spots. Floor was beyond sticky. Bathroom was kind of scary, but it served its purpose. Don't go looking for frills, but if you want a good time and a place to be whoever you are, this is the spot.
