A friend and I visited Oakland and San Francisco for a ballpark trip in April. Talk about the tale of two cities. From one of the worst stadiums in MLB in Oakland to an absolute gem in San Francisco. We were there for opening day and the area outside the park was hopping. It's a beautiful setting and worth walking... More

Any baseball fan out there should do the tour it's about 30$ for a 90 min tour - see the away team clubhouse and get to go in the dug out plus a lot more - only thing I like is more time at each point

First time in years attended a major league game. Unreal experience during the game. Only drawback was finding proper route back to wharf.

We were in town for a conference and were very lucky to have a private event at AT&T park. The behind the scenes tour was excellent. The staff were great and the food very good.

Well, I'm a Giants fan and whenever I come home during the summer, I always try to go to a game. Great views of the bay and great sightlines make it a fun place to take in a game!

Doc was our guide. Said he had been here only 9 months or so. It showed. Having done many stadium tours this had to be the weakest. He talked a lot, monotone and many could not hear him. He had a great dry sense of humor, but overall we didn't see much. No broadcast booth, no home batting cages, bullpen... More

I'm not a SF Giants Fan but I still would go in and catch a game and walk around and enjoy. Be sure to take pictures of the large Willy Mays Statue and the Large Coke Bottle. Very convenient via light rail and commuter rail.

Love watching a game of baseball every 7 years or so - the song, the game (I guess) and general crowd watching. Recommend it!

I was there for Sting in concert: it was great! But more the concert than the place. The entrance with the statue and the palm trees is good to see.

Staying in SoMa

Neighborhood Profile
SoMa
South of Market (SoMa), has an urban and sophisticated vibe, but you're more likely to find big nightclubs and lots of industrial loft residences than you are to find boutique shopping. Although it’s the epicenter for tech startups in the city, visitors will be able to do more than just business - museums, top quality restaurants, and the San Francisco Giants now call this neighborhood home. Most of its freeway-sized streets may not capture the same character as other neighborhoods in the city, but pockets of charm, like South Park, can still be found throughout its side streets.
