We booked the most popular 2.5 hour Golden Gate Park tour with the Electric Tour Company on Saturday 1/25/2020 at 2pm. Our guide was Johanness. He was GREAT!
I got a confirmation call and an email. The email said to arrive 15 min early. It was easy to find the pop-up starting point across from the entry to the Japanese Tea Garden.
The check in was easy, expectations explained and we were all introduced to the Segway, helmet required, radios and safety vest. We were all beginners, but had lots of experience with other “wheeled” modes of transportation. It was easy to follow the instructions. The 30 min training is included in the time of the tour.
Once we completed the training we took off at a perfect beginners pace, practiced stopping using the radios and operating the Segway in a group.
The tour was beautiful, the guide very knowledgeable and it was the perfect amount of time, we took a walking break after an hour and couldn’t believe how good it felt to get off and move. Our age range was 59-69. It was an AWESOME EXPERIENCE, The Cost was $75/person and a tip is appreciated!

Omgosh we did a private Segway tour with Brandon. He was absolutely the best guide we have ever experienced. Hands down best Segway tour in San Francisco. Will definitely return for the sunset tour sometime.

Perfect way to explore the city. We did a private tour and Kyle was an excellent guide, photographer and he recommended an Italian restaurant, where we had one of the best pizzas of our live. Thank you so much for this wonderful day. Don't leave San Francisco without doing this tour.

The best thing we did while visiting SF. It is a MUST DO!! You will not regret it! I was nervous thinking learning how to ride a segway would be hard. Let me tell you, it was so easy! Devon made you feel so comfortable and was a great guide. We choose to do the private tour so we could go at our own pace. It turns out that our pace was FAST! We all caught on so fast that we covered a lot of ground in the 3 hours of the tour. I can not put down in words how fun this is. We wanted to book another tour (thru the Golden Gate Park) but we didn't have time in our schedule. I hope you take a Segway tour, private or group. It will be the best activity on your vacation. :-)

My nieces and their husbands were visiting with us from India and I wanted to give them a unique tour that was worth the money and fun. I found this tour via Google. I am so happy that I chose them. I did not go on the tour as I stayed back with my little one. But, when my family (of 6) came back, they could not stop ranting and raving about this tour. They did the Alcatraz Island and Private Segway Tour. They loved every minute of each of the tours. However, the Segway tour was and is something that they tell everyone about and say was the best thing they have ever done.
The introduction training that the tour guides give to the participants was very thorough. My brother was a participant on the tour. He is learning disabled and hard of hearing. However, Cameron, the tour guide, was more than caring with my brother. My husband told me that Cameron personally watched over my brother, especially down Lombard Street, and did not even indicate that my brother was a hassle on the tour. I was so touched. It is so hard for my brother to find something he really likes and can participate in with other able-bodied individuals. This was amazing to me.
Cameron took my family all over San Francisco, to both the tourist places and to the unknown gems. The Segways can go everywhere and people stopped to stare. My family loved every minute because of the unique tour method of a Segway, the great route, the caring, informative and confident nature of Cameron and the 3 hour length of the Segway portion.
Alcatraz was also very interesting and unique. My family was lucky to get tickets through this tour and really learned a lot from the headphone narrative while on the Island.
Go for this tour, you won't be sorry.

I have ridden a Segway a couple times before, so I did not need the detailed safety instructions our guide, Jeff, provided--but I appreciated the lengths he went to to ensure our group would enjoy a safe tour! I wound up kind of tagging along with a group of five Korean tourists, and was interested to learn that this company can provide safety instructions in a number of foreign languages--like Korean and Russian--on a tablet.
Jeff took us "off-road", which was fun; I really enjoyed getting information on the plants in the park that he provided.
This was a very fun tour that I highly recommend; next time I'm in SF I plan to book another tour through this company that is 2.5 hours long and goes to the beach!

So we booked very cautiously as we have never done a Segway tour and we knew that trying it for the first time ever in San Francisco took some cojones , but we survived, company did an amazing job educating us and took safety seriously, the only thing I would recommend is placing the people with less experience at front instead and anywhere just in case . But overall I recommend this tour to anyone that want to just have fun

We have done dozens of Segway tours around the world. Every time we travel somewhere we always try to find a tour. This is by far one of the top tours if not the best tour ever! John aka Susan Fabulous(ask him for the back story!) is one of the best guides, he has a great amount of information to share about the city. Thank you so much John!

This was a family "Sunday Funday" for us locals. We've never rode a segway and it was incredibly fun and easy. Best part was Susan's corny jokes and fabulous tour of the area. Highly recommend if you are visiting or just looking for a fun adventure for a few hours. My 13-year old nephew and 72-year old father equally enjoyed!
