Came to see an amazing musician. Club was run down and looks like no one has cared about the facility for a long time. I have seen cleaner bathrooms at a Greyhound bus station. Staff could care less. No functioning women's toilets, feces on floor...More

Visited this venue to attend a performance/set by Markus Schulz and company. Dance floor is a decent size, but the venue as a whole is intimate and cozy to provide a great experience. Love the architecture!

The building and entourage is beautiful. Ruby Skye is very close to Union Square and is based in old an theatre making this a historical place. However, carpets are stained, toilets are far from clean and the drinks-menu shows champagne that is not available and...More

Dj nelix was off the hook. The environment was rad. But way too many dudes up in that place. It was a younger crowd and they were underdressed.

what time do you need to get to the clubs to get in? Ruby Skye? Mr Smiths? Fluid?

you can get in anytime if you have the right look! ruby skye is huge - should be easy at all hours if you have $ - make sure there isn't a private party which are often held there. fluid might be very busy after 11pm.

Obviously I am overly excited about my upcoming trip to San Francisco in a week and have enjoyed this website and all of your comments and suggestions....I am not sure what I will do after my trip because I will miss reading everyone's posts :) So since I have asked every question under the sun like most people, then as I was starting to make a list of what to pack, I thought I would just see what the locals said. HA! I currently live in Texas so we are experiencing 100 degree weather, I...More

if you are renting a car, remember to throw everything in the trunk, do not leave anything that looks remotely valuable in the passenger area. Even a jacket may give a crook a second look. Easy to avoid, use the trunk.

It's alright, but nothing I'd go out of my way to visit. They play 80's music on Fridays and the space is pretty tiny. For clubs, Harlot is the hottest thing right now and Mr. Smith's is still really popular. Wish and Rye are cool little bars. If you want a really laidback place in Union Square (sort of divey, but not horrible), check out Tunnel Top.
