Shocked by the other reviews recently left, our experience was completely different. We went to the bar to catch the week 1 NFL games. Whilst it was packed, we found somewhere to stand, and after getting some drinks from the bar we chatted to a...More
How can a sports bar get it so wrong?
We turned up just after 9am ready to watch the first Sunday of the NFL. They were showing a cooking channel on one big screen and some red bull racing on the other. No problem. Plenty...More
Went here when I was in town with my other half to watch an NFL game. Whilst the food was decent for a venue of this type the service was appalling. We ordered a bucked of beers then the waitress took the bucket away with...More
Close to our hotel we were staying at and close to Union Square is the Golden Gate Tap Room.
A very large sports bar.
Had to show our ID's for being over 21 to a couple of very large bullfrogs at the door.
Never got the chance to check this place out. On vacation from Ireland but wasn't allowed cross the door as we hadn't brought our ID.We're both in our fifties by the way. Extremely rude door staff who seemed to take pleasure in the whole affair....More
The staff at the golden gate tap bar are the rudest people I have ever met. One bar behind the bar has screaming and swearing at customers to show they ID's and that he was 'sick of asking'. I advised there was a man in...More

Late dinner that was close to my hotel. Picked it based on their website menu off Google maps. No idea it was a game room, TVs and pay to play. Bad version of Dave and Busters. Open seating but no table service. We finally sat...More
This place has a great layout with big beautiful tvs all around and games like skeeball, shuffleboard, and pool all around! It’s a great place! Tons of beer choices and the Jack Daniels is delicious! Enjoy
Originally home to rallies supporting the Union Army in the Civil War, this grand square has become the city's premier shopping and entertainment district containing the largest number of upscale department stores, chic boutiques, art galleries and theaters in the city. It's a large open area where tourists and locals gather, watch cable cars and crowds go by, enjoy a snack, or plan their day of shopping and
sightseeing, If feeling the pulsating energy of the city is on your agenda, Union Square is the place to soak it in.
