I was really frightened to book a private tour but knew that’s what I wanted, since they were young children with us. When I found Joe I called him up and just by the phone call I felt a very good vibe. When joe came to get us he was on time, and very welcoming. 5 min into the tour it’s as if we knew each other for years, laughing and just having an awesome time. Joe stayed with us for 7 hours. I sent him a list of many things I wished to see and let me tell you we did almost everything, with many surprises along the way. We ate lunch with Joe and he also had the people at the restaurant sing happy birthday to my son. We shared many great stories with him, the kids loved him, and the roller coaster rides on the hills the boys enjoyed them. Joe is your man to tour with, he knew all the ins and out, he lived here for 40 years so he knows what to do. We had such a great time with him. This man is experienced, educated, professional, funny, and just pretty amazing if I say so. If you don’t book with him you will not have the experience of a original living here. Joe my family and I thank you for the great 7 hours we spent with you.

Joe is a nice, caring, and colorful/funny guy who really cares about providing his client’s with a customized tour he thinks they will enjoy. We were able to see a lot of the San Fran area including Muir Woods. We ate lunch at a wonderful and beautiful spot (Salito’s Crab House) in Sausalito. We gladly paid for his lunch which is usual and customary when a private tour guide eats with you. It wasn’t exactly perfect because we stopped a couple places that were not fun or exciting for our group (adventure seekers with two boys), but I can see how Joe might have liked them. His driving was a bit adventurous though 🤪 He did go to several great spots that we will always remember fondly. He bought us a beautiful little book at Lands End (cool and beautiful spot), which was really thoughtful and sweet. Overall, a pleasant and fun tour!

Thank you for your gracious review. When I spend time with my guests I always try to be sensitive to who I am with and what they may enjoy. Overall I am happy for your high rating and I am glad you enjoyed the little gift book. I hope the rest of your stay in our city was as enjoyable as our time together. Gratefully Joe

My sister, her son and son's friend were visiting from Florida. Son's friend had never been to SF before and Joe was amazing. Catering our tour to exactly what we wanted to see. We hit the usual spots, Golden Gate, Union Square, Fisherman's Wharf, Lombard Street, and the lesser known Vermont Street (also extremely crooked). As well as the newly opened Salesforce Transit Center and rode the gondola up to the Park. The boys were thrilled to see the new home of Warriors Basketball team, still under construction Chase Center. He will tailor the tour to whatever you want to see. Highly Recommended.

I was overwhelmed with all the potential sites to visit so I made a last minute call to Joe. He had availability the next day. He picked us up at our hotel and asked us a few questions to get an idea of what we wanted to see then he customized our day with our ‘must sees’ mixed in with his special San Francisco gems. Joe had so muck knowledge about the area and he maximized the short time we had. One of our favorite stops was the Haight where we walked through amazing vintage clothing stores, a classic record store and we grabbed a slice of pizza at Escape from New York. We got a feel for the city not just the typical places. We did go see the Painted Ladies, great views of the Golden Gate and Presidio. If we had driven on our own we would have spent half our time figuring out where to park without the car being towed. He took all the hassle out of it and kept my family from any typical family travel discontent! I would highly recommend Joe and San Francisco Private Tours!

Joe met us at our hotel in a comfortable minivan. We went to Muir Woods, Sausalito, we walked on the Golden Gate Bridge and saw Chinatown. Joe is very knowledgeable and accommodating. Wherever you want to go or see he knows his facts.
