We were looking for something that our 5 year old would enjoy. Something fun so he wouldn't get bored and short so it would not loose his attention. This was perfect!! We all enjoyed it.

We were wary of the glowing praise that others had for the Rocket Boat, but we left saying "10 out of 10" and "one of the funnest things I've ever done in my life." This was the highlight of our day on the waterfront yesterday...More

The girls (ages 11 and 14) had a fun time on this high-speed boat ride. They rarely have opportunity to get on boats, so it was exciting to bounce along on the waves and make the tight turns, and the rock music added to the...More

Wow they take you round the harbor at 40 mph. You are given a free poncho and expect to get splashed, and indeed we did. Definitely a must if you are at Pier 39. Oh, save the tickets, as they will give you a discount...More

The ride is 30 minutes long. Totally worth with. The captain keeps the energy high and is humorous. Those sitting at the end and at the sides of the boat (particularly at the end) will get wet. We didnt receive any parka's but then again...More

We saw this on day one of our trip, and my 4 year old begged to go on it. We got a chance to ride it on day two, and it really was fun. About a 30-45 minute ride in the bay chasing wakes of...More

They will give you ponchos when you get on. Put them on before you sit down. This is an adventurous ride across the bay hence the name rocket boat. You will not be disappointed if you do this ride.

We saw the boat coming into the marina as we were on pier 39 looking at the seals and sea lions. Anything they requires everyone to be in a rain poncho looks fun to me, especially when they are all returning happy and laughing. We...More

Okay, so the Rocketboat didn't quite go as fast as the name would suggest, but it was still a lot of fun and I would do it again. Major complaint is that tickets are not sold for a particular time. We bought tickets around 1:30...More

We had done a similar boat ride around Manhattan so thought we knew what to expect, but this really exceeded our expectations! A really fun half hour speed boat ride which goes VERY FAST!! The boat stops for photo opportunities but the majority of the...More

If sometimes boat rides make you feel seasick, is this a ride that could make you feel nauseated? Like, is there a rocking motion?

Just my opinion but no. There was about 20 riders on our boat and no one was sick and they all had a good time. Honestly, there is so much to see and the boat ride seems to short. I think you'll do fine. I also get sea... More
