Having heard positive reviews from friends who had employed Gary as their travel guide in San Francisco, we were eager to reaffirm their glowing opinions. Our trip was originally planned for March of 2020, but COVID happened. As another reviewer said, Gary was the ultimate professional. He gave us a refund with no hassle. After rescheduling our trip for October of 2021, we hired Gary for a combined San Francisco / Muir Woods day as well as a day in Sonoma. Prior to the trip, Gary made sure to ask about our interests, and he customized our tour accordingly.
We were quite delighted to find that our two days spent with Gary were time and money well invested. Gary has the talent and charm to instruct and entertain passengers with his extensive knowledge about the various locales he takes you to. As a gregarious talker, Gary is adept at involving everyone in his personal tales of the lore surrounding the area. Ever obliging and polite, he’s always ready to indulge any whim, and he’s invariably conscientious about people’s needs and limitations. We were deeply impressed with his service and wholeheartedly recommend engaging his superlative abilities for any sightseeing journey around the San Francisco area.

It's not easy to WOW a 13 year old teen boy and his mom at the same time but Gary did just that, surprising us every step of the way with great stops and a wealth of knowledge. Gary is a bay area pro and his passion about this area is palpable from the get go. He even gave us advice before meeting us, sharing his favorite San Fran food and drink spots. I would highly recommend Gary's tour to anyone seeking a great bay area experience!

My teenage sons and I spent two days touring with Gary over Christmas week 2021. Gary was so knowledgeable, personal, professional, helpful and fun. He showed us around the city - The Presidio, Lombard Street, Golden Gate park and many other sites. We also spent a day with him in Marin County walking through stunning Muir Woods and Sausalito. Despite cold, rainy weather and raging covid, Gary made us feel safe and comfortable. Gary made sure we took in the history of SF and see/do all we could, not only when we were touring with him, but even when we weren’t- offering many great activities, museum and restaurant recommendations. I was thrilled to not rent a car, drive, and navigate on my own. Instead, I was able to relax and take in the sites while spending quality time with my college-age sons. We hope to return to SF soon and will definitely use Gary again if we do.

Gary was an EXCELLENT tour guide!!! He was extremely knowledgable, friendly and very flexible. We have been on many private tours in cities around the world and Gary gets an A+++. We would have never seen half the things we did with Gary and it was nice to have someone else who knows the city map everything out. We went everywhere and had the best time!!!

This is an odd review because we have yet to meet Gary. We made a booking for September 2019 which we had to cancel due to serious illness then made a second booking for May 2020 which we have had to cancel due to Covid19. Our review is purely about Garys professionalism. In both cases our money was refunded promptly with no fuss. We very much hope to make another attempt at seeing San Francisco with Gary in 2021

Hands down one of the most enjoyable tours I have ever been on. Scheduled Gary about two weeks ago (couldn't even believe he was available based on the reviews). He picked us up at our hotel and we spent the day visiting Muir Woods, (2) Sonoma wineries, an incredible off the path Mexican restaurant in Sonoma, the Golden Gate Bridge and a beach (can't remember the name). We left the tour feeling like we had accomplished so much in such a short period of time. But the added bonus is that you have amazing company throughout the day. Gary is super knowledgable on the history of the area as well as other little cool facts he sprinkles in throughout the day. Such a warm, friendly, outgoing, bubbly personality...we could have spent days touring with him!
His rate is not on the low end but I can tell you the experience is worth every penny and then some! He coordinated all of our stops and appointments. Got us from point A to B on time, every time and even added in some extras along the way. So when you get your quote..my only advice is don't hesitate! Say yes on the spot and prepare for an adventure unlike any other!
One last thing that I think is super important to mention. It irks me when people ask you to leave a review at the end of an experience and they steer you in the direction of a score. I was totally expecting Gary to do this towards the end of the tour...this is his livelihood after all, BUT HE DIDN'T! I think that impressed me even more and showed this mans character.
So moral of the story...don't hesitate, book Gary and have a blast!

Fun, Exciting, Friendly!
Gary was so personable and easy to chat with. His auto was exceptionally clean, he was very attentive to us and the kids, and made sure everyone was enjoying the tour. We did a half day tour of San Fran where he showed us many of the typical tourist sites but from different areas & angles. He also included other areas as a surprise for the kids as well as adults to keep the tour interesting! We have kids (ages 10 & 12 - both boys) and we spoke before going out to SF - so he knew that and made sure to Taylor our day to stuff that kids would,d like as well as showing us the sites we knew we wanted to see!
We had many opportunities to get out of the car to enjoy the views, take photos, grab a quick snack, stretch our legs, get coffee, etc.
He had great stories of different people and areas in the SF area as well as great recommendations for dining, drinks, etc that we were looking for.
HIGHLY recommended - he was great with kids as well as adults.

All the way from New Jersey, my family and I took a wonderful tour. Gary was a great guide who showed us everything we wanted to see and much more in 6 hours. Muir Woods, The Presido, Rodeo Beach and the city of San Francisco. Highly recommended We already miss Gary.

Gary is so much fun to do a tour with. He's funny, personable and a wealth of information about San Francisco. We very much enjoyed every second with him and saw so much and learned even more. He's a professional photographer and he helped me get some great shots to post and take back great memories. I highly recommend Gary for any tour in and around San Francisco!!

My family and I had a full day San Francisco private tour with Gary, it was truly amazing from start till the end. One of the best guided tours we have ever done. Thanks to Gary for his impeccable knowledge and expertise, he made us fall in love with SF. A very professional and friendly tour guide! Highly recommend his tours!

Hello Gary,
I talked with you tonight about a tour of Muir Woods and more. Our cruise ship will be in Port on Monday October 24. Right now I have 5 of our friends that want to book. They have a question, what kind of vehicle will we be in? We are all seniors. Also the 8:00 time will work for us. Will you pick us up at the Princess cruise ship dock? Thanks, but now where do I find your answers???

Hi. Your SF tours look awesome! I've read a bunch of stuff but didn't see what the transportation was. Do we provide transportation or do you and on what? Where do we meet you for the tour? There are 4 of us there during the week in June and was interested in a way to see the area and the highlights.
