Wonderful to learn about the history and public art in SF's Chinatown through Minecraft! This tour was fun, and I learned so much. It made me want to visit again in person and explore the back streets. The tour guides were local experts, and either in high school or entering their first year of college. Highly recommended!

Loads of historical detail and things to watch out for when you go in person. It was lovely to get to know my new city better.

I'm so glad I saw their announcement of a free virtual tour. With the limitations of pandemic in effect, they all did a great job putting it together, In fact, I shared their pubic invite to register and some of my friends said they were already filled up when they tried to register. I applaud them and Chinatown CDC for their community work outside of the tours. I hope when things finally open up, they can continue to do their in person tours.

This is hands down one of the best tours I've been on. The tours are lead by youth who have really strong attachments to the Chinatown Community or are from the area. They learn about the history of their community - from food to broader SF politics - and share the stories of Chinatown in an engaging, beautiful way. I would recommend this tour to anyone wanting a very special, non-touristy experience in SF.

My sister, who is an exchange student, wanted to show me San Francisco. Instead of doing just the surface we decided to go on this tour. It was a great way of getting to know China town beyond vegetable stalls and red lanterns! Highly recommend!

The students who run this tour present a historical understanding of Chinatown---the fascinating political and economic events that created and sustain the oldest Chinatown in North America. The tour guides happily share not only information but the love they have for their community as well. I've done this tour several times and I always learn something new.

Two-hour tour with this volunteers group and we were lucky enough to be the only two people on this tour. We learned a lot about Chinatown and they showed and told us a lot about the history and ongoing happenings in the Chinatown area. Two young guides were very good and would highly recommend this tour to anyone with two hours to spare and who want to find out historical facts of the Chinatown area in SF. Thank you to Kelly and Shirley, great young volunteer ambassadors and guides.

The tour was fantastic. Our tour guide was well informed and engaging. We learned so much about San Francisco’s Chinatown, and the history of San Francisco, as well. We completely recommend this tour. The local student, Chao, who lead our tour is part of a nonprofit organization that works to make Chinatown better. We never would have known about the stories of Chinatown’s alleyways without this tour.
