I had a deep tissue massage here today and it was just what I needed. I asked for firm pressure and I got it--Jasmine was extremely good and caring. I highly recommend her!

This is my husband's favorite place for massage. Noi is his favorite masseuse. I've been here twice myself and I loved them too.

As 2 time cancer patient I am a dedicated user of good massage studios in the city as part of my holistic care. I've been thru several FlexCredits at Project Zen now, and keep coming back due to the quality male and female masseuses (love Jason, Maje, Francesca, and Em). For the first few years I had Thai massages which... More

Really excellent massage however I just think it was a bit pricey hence the 4dot rating instead of 5. Nice and quiet place and a good focus on calm ! Recommend a visit on holiday or if you're a local. I booked for myself and fiancé for our first day of a long stay in SF and it got us... More

I have been to Project Zen several times and couldn't recommend it more highly. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and aesthetically appealing (great lighting / soothing music), and the massage therapists are fantastic (try Joanna's deep tissue massage in particular!). Best massage place that I've tried in the Bay Area.

After sixty years of my feet supporting me, it came upon me to treat them to a foot massage. Not knowing what to expect, they were very happy indeed! Really enjoyed the experience and I won't wait so long for the next one.... a ten-toe star review!

Always a pleasure to get a refresh and rebbot. They always seem to hit the right spots as they will vary from time to time due to my work or workouts. Masja is great and has a lot of experience in spotting my point that need more attention. She is great and seems to read my body well all the... More

Staying in North Beach / Telegraph Hill

Neighborhood Profile
North Beach / Telegraph Hill
The aroma of freshly roasted coffee beans, the sounds of opera, and the sights of the romantic Italian ristorante come together to create the charming neighborhood of North Beach, once the stomping grounds for the Beatnik Generation. Although parts of North Beach are known for nightlife that’s not always suitable for younger visitors, few neighborhoods in the city exude as much European charm and style. Peruse a bookstore for the literature of Kerouac, Ferlinghetti and Ginsberg, grab some gelato and head to Washington Square for a perfect afternoon of people watching. Just east of North Beach, the hills and staircases of Telegraph Hill are a unique delight. At its peak, the art deco Coit Tower provides sweeping panoramic views of the bay and city. The beautifully landscaped Filbert Street Steps, a street too steep for a roadway, rewards those willing to hike uphill. Keep your ears open and you might even hear the squawk of the wild parrots who call this neighborhood home.
