Last week while visiting San Francisco I stopped at Minamototo purchase a gift and also get myself some Japanese sweets. This store is simply amazing! So calm, beautiful and artistic. It reminded me of similar shops I visited while in Tokyo and Kyoto. All of...More

I was on vacation in San Francisco, and visited this store. It started out nicely and I really enjoyed the ambience of the place - it was very peaceful, and I didn't mind waiting while someone else was served. When it was my turn, the...More

I only wish they had a few tables to enjoy desserts at the shop. You can sit on the bench and eat. The ladies are very nice and desserts are absolutely fabulous. Not cheap but worth it!

Perhaps the oldest place in Japantown, and a bakery where mochi has been made for decades. Fresh every day. Wife might move in if they had beds. While I like mochi, I'm drawn even more to their Kauai Cookie selection

Nice selection of treats. I was surprised to fund some high quality green teas as well. They were out of some of the items I wanted, but I found some nice alternatives. Not cheap.

Yes, the sweets are a bit pricey, but they are delicious. The presentation is exquisite. The service is excellent. A great place to get gourmet Japanese sweets.

Oh, the mochi at this place is so delightful. It will set you back a few bucks, but you will not be sorry. There are a few specialty items, like chocolate mochi and some seasonal treats with chestnuts, but if you stick with the mochi...More

It was so fun to go in this Japanese bakery to try something new. The staff was helpful and kind. Everything looked so beautiful. We had the persimmon with white bean paste. Nothing is overly sweet but very good.
