Bay Voyager is happy to announce the opening of our new location at Pier 39 in San Francisco! The range of tours offered by Bay Voyager include viewing historic ships, visiting former mooring sites of abandoned gold rush ships, and experiencing active estuaries populated by cargo ships and tug boats. You’ll see the San Francisco waterfront, cruise under the Golden Gate Bridge, around Alcatraz, Under the Bay Bridge to the Port of Oakland, past AT&T Park (Home to the San Francisco Giants) and Back to Pier 39. While Bay Voyager does have specific routes, deviation is an integral part of the experience, making each adventure an engaging and exhilarating encounter.According to owner and captain, Charles Jennings, “we feel there is a need to provide more intimate and individualized tours that travel closer and give more in depth guided tours. By being in a small and agile vessel, guests can have an up close and personal adventure while traveling to all corners of the always-fascinating bay.”

Took this boat tour on June 30, 2106. This boat ride is an absolute trip. It was amazing. Captain Charles was great and full of information. His pride and love for this city was apparent. This ride is exhilarating... bumpy, wet, beautiful. Not to be missed. I'm so glad the Captain took photos of our cruise, because our camera went... More

What a thrilling ride we had! I could have stayed out there all day! Captain Charles was a lot of fun and taught us the history and lure of Fisherman's Wharf and the Bay Area. We even saw humpback whales! This was one of the highlights of our 2 week California vacation. A must do! Couple this with the Alcatraz... More

Capt. Charles is an absolute gent, he sorted out our booking after some gremlins in the system and went out of his way to ensure a smooth process and payments took place. The actual trip around the Bay was excellent, with detailed information and sights throughout, overall a very pleasant experience. Thank you

This tour was fantastic! It was an absolute blast to ride in the boat with the wind in my face and sights of the bay where ever I looked. Our captain was energetic and cool to talk to. He gave a great tour with a lot of interesting facts about the stuff we saw along the way. We were even... More

Captain Charlie was fun and full of excellent historical facts regarding the area. Being in the smaller boat with weather resistant gear is not to be missed. Bring a few layers shirts and closed shoes if your cold sensitive. In conclusion totally different and positive experience compared to a larger and slower vessel. The only thing we were disappointed in... More

Thank you for your review and I am glad you had a wonderful time on board. I love San Francisco Bay, a waterfront that my father, grandfather and uncle all sailed from, there is nothing I love more then sharing the history of the bay. Left without constrain, I could speak of the history of this city until I loose... More

It was a great tour, not only great for thrill seekers (sit at the front) but the Captain was really knowledgable and great fun too. I'd highly recommend this tour for a great view and experience of San Francisco Bay.

My dad and I booked a somewhat last-minute trip to San Francisco for vacation and, of course, Alcatraz was already entirely sold out for the few days we had planned to be in town. I did a TON of research on package deal tours that included Alcatraz tickets. Many of them (specifically Viator) seemed to indicate a 50/50 chance that... More
