Nice spot in Golden Gate Park.

This is a nice spot in Golden Gate Park. It's a good place to sit in quiet reflection or to take a peaceful walk.

This is a most remarkable place of respite in the urban bustle of San Francisco. As you wander in this Grove, you feel as though you have stepped into a sanctuary. The woods are beautiful and so lovingly tended to, and you become overtaken with the silence, which makes your steps naturally slow down. There is something so poetic about... More

The National AIDS Memorial Grove is a poignant place. Surrounded by trees and nestled in a little valley, the Grove is calm and peaceful, with plants and stones carved with names in-memorium. Recommended.

We decided to take the path less taken in golden gate park and walk down the stairs once we spotted the grove's sign. It's beautiful and serene! Came early in the am and without the crowds you hear the quietness and birds chirping ! It's well taken cared of by volunteers, the foliage is so beautiful and along the pathways... More

I've been to the Deyoung, etc. many times, but I didn't even know this memorial was here. Beautiful and peaceful. Highly recommended.

The National AIDS Memorial Grove is a landmark with a lot of history attached to it. It's beautiful to visit in the day, but even more amazing to visit during the annual Memorial Gala. Would definitely recommend visiting if in Golden Gate Park.

These gardens are simply beautiful. Such a serene and peaceful spot to leisurely wander through. A true credit to those who established it and to those volunteers that maintain it.

I have been fortunate enough to attend the Light in the Grove fundraiser two years in a row. This magical night is a Celebration of a year of hard work and upkeep of The Grove and raises funds for its continuation. The Gove is a serene place where the engraved names in the Circle of Friends, either your own, that... More

At home, we provide care to patients living with HIV/AIDS on a daily basis, so this memorial held some significance for us specifically. We got to Golden Gate Park by taking the 5R bus from downtown, which was a quick and easy trip. From there, it was a pleasant walk into the park itself. The grove is kept immaculately by... More

At the northern part of this huge Golden Gate Park is hidden this memorial grove, one dedicated to those suffering from AIDS and those who're fighting against it. Walking down a few steps, I saw a shrine-like open ground in the middle in a size of four basketball courts. On its two longer edges are religiously grown bushes, which I... More
