Beautiful park, lots to see. Would recommend renting bikes to ride around the park and see all the different spots and even make your way down to the beach. The gallery and museum in the park are a must visit also.

This park is a bit of a hidden gem, and not too well advertised. I would rate it as one of the worlds great city parks. There is so much to see in the park. You could need 2 to 3 days here. Our 12 year old son ended up in the tennis club, playing table tennis alongside elderly Chinese... More

Lots of things to experience here. A tour guide told me this is 20% bigger than New York's Central Park. So much to do and see. In the summer time I hear they have big name musicians perform in the park.

These are not just small roads, they are huge fast roads, making it a very loud... More

Having lived in The City from 1977 to 1989, I learned what the locals consider a great place to get away from the stress of Urban Living. Golden Gate Park reigns Superior as the "go to" stress reliever! On weekends, the Park is closed to traffic, so be sure to park near the chosen part of the Park that you... More

We walked here along Haight - stopping to take a photo at the famous Haight/Ashbury. Visited the Aids memorial park - a quiet and moving experience. Then to the gorgeous Japanese gardens, which were well worth the entrance fee. It was a beautiful summer day and there were people relaxing under shady trees, others drumming to a small knot of...
