Loved this park, providing a lot of space for different activities from cycling, running etc, as well as offering some great museums. The Sunday we visited they had a band playing swing music and folk from different generations were up dancing.

Walking around the Stow Lake, climbed up the fountain, see the gorgeous views from the top. Go to the windmills and walk along Ocean Beach. You have to visit this amazing park. If you have extra time, visit California Academy of Science, must go to see a movie and the butterflies! Or visit De Young museum and appreciate art and... More

Don't miss the view at the top of the Tower. Go to the top for the best 360 degree view of San Francisco. After taking in the view stop at the DeYoung museum. The Japanese garden is just a short walk from the DeYoung museum and well worth the walk.

Golden Gate Park is double the size of NY's Central Park with more things to see to boot. A great day excursion could entail visiting the Japanese tea garden, California Academy of Sciences, a stop at the observation tower in the De Young museum with other options to see the Conservatory of Flowers or take out a paddle boat on... We did the park end to end on foot, being a map or look on your phone so you don't take a wrong turn and miss some lovely gardens, pathways, the Japanese Garden, horses, and so much more. We bought a picnic and had many places to choose from to sit. It's a long day to do it all but... More

A park just like San Francisco, open, family-friendly, diverse, with sun, culture, great food and lots of nature.

We visited San Francisco in December and still found blooming plants in the Park. We loved walking through the Park and visiting the gardens even though the day was cloudy with periods of light rain.

Great park, different vibe but think quality and size similar to NY Central Park. Lots to see and to do with beautiful trees, gardens and museums. Easily spend an entire day here or make several trips here if you are in SF for several days.

I visited the Science Museum, de Young Museum, Conservatory of flowers and Butterfly house and could have seen more if not for time constraints.
