Golden Gate Park is an essential stop for out of town visitors. Don't miss the Japanese Tea Garden, which I visit every time I come to San Francisco; it has that much charm and appeal. The de Young Museum also should be on the short list. The art is nicely curated and the museum cafe has delicious lunch offerings, complete... More

This is a must. We elected to ride bikes and it was fun and inexpensive. Rent in Haight Ashbury $25 for a full day. The park is gorgeous. Pack a lunch and drinks and it's easy to find a place to relax and people watch. We rode to the Cliff House. Great view. The ride up the hill to lands... More

Beautiful gardens, perfect for a stroll around . The Japanese gardens are stunning and so peaceful. The museum is a little expensive I feel as we only wanted to visit the observatory there but it was $15 general admission each so we skipped it. A must visit for the rest of the gardens though.

I enjoyed walking in the park. Beautiful weather especially if you live in a hot area. We also went to the Botanical Gardens that are there.

Beautiful park with so much to do. My favorite was the Japanese Tea Garden. Great place to warm up and take a break with a cup of tea. Beautiful landscaping and gardening.

Golden Gate park was so pretty! Very relaxed, great place to take a stroll. Visited the Botanical Gardens and Chinese garden while there as well. Would recommend both but enjoyed the botanical gardens more. much bigger, we were there for a long time. A little pricey if you're not a resident for a family, I cant remember exactly what I... This is a big park located in San Francisco. We aimed for the area were the carousel is located which is in the southeast corner. There is a very good playground there with a lot of different things to do. There are some small food stands nearby but we brought sandwiches from Subway which was perfect! This was an excellent... You can do just about anything in the park: listen to a concert by great names, embark on a celestial journey, sip tea in an authentic Japanese tea garden, marvel in the white alligator (crocodile), dance to some pretty cool tunes, paddle boat the less than high seas, or stroll along and feed the ducks at the Lake.

I loved being able to uncover different spots across the park. I walked the whole park but it is easily accessible by car, bus routes and on certain days a park shuttle. My favourite areas were the Dutch windmill and the lake where you can hire paddle boats.
