Unique Offerings, Busy, Food on the spot and harvest for home

Outside Japanese family makes wonderful miso and other items to take home. Busy. Good offerings to eat on the spot. Wonderful selection of organics.

This is a lot of fun. We enjoyed all the street vendors for food, produce, and crafts. We went on two different occassions. There is definitely a lot more going on on Saturdays. Worth a stop. An easy walk from the end of the California Cable Car Line.

During recent stop over, stumbled into this awesome even on a saturday. Everything, everything was top quality. Loved watching the "locals" buy their goodies. The rotisserie chicken booth was excellent. Inside stores are fun, but outside is most excellent. Amazing selection of food to take home and food to munch on. Will plan next SF visit around the farmer's market.

While the food and other shops in the Ferry Building are nice the Farmers Market, went on Saturday was amazing. The bounty from the California land is outrageous. Suggest you take trolley/buses along Embarcadero.

We love staying in the City and walking to the Ferry Building on Saturday morning. The smells and sights are captivating. The market has it all and fresh! Flowers, veggies, food, and more. We enjoy trying different things and eating a bite before the walk up the hill. This is all outdoors. The Market Place is inside and does not... More

I enjoyed looking around this Farmer's Market. There was a nice variety of stalls with lots of unique gift ideas and yummy treats. I recommend skipping breakfast and sampling the delicious variety of small plate options as you make your way around. It was very crowded which made navigating your way around difficult (at times I felt like a salmon... More

Some reviewers here have got the Farmer 's market mixed up with Marketplace which is inside the Ferry Terminal aka No 1 Pier ! Both are great with their different sort of merchandise esp. arts n crafts in the Farmer s Market which has nice souvenirs for tourists to take home eg paintings, crafts, gemstones, necklaces etc If you are... I visited on a Saturday as it has the most vendors on this day and opens earlier, though the farmers market is also open on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Plenty of food options both inside and around the outside of the Ferry Plaza building, albeit some were a little expensive. Nonetheless you are paying for quality here, which was worth it... More

Our group took in the farmer's market at the ferry building plaza. All of the group were just amazed by the size of the market with the numerous selection of fresh products. Our group enjoyed the Rotisserie kiosk but were a little late for the pork hocks which were sold out. We had the delicious Porchetta sandwich and a whole... More
