“Don't Go!”
Audium is the only theater of its kind in the world, pioneering the exploration of space in music. The theater's 176 speakers bathe listeners in sounds that move past, over, and under them. "Sound sculptures" are performed in darkness in the 49-seat...more

In total darkness you will experience mind blowing sounds that will take you into another world. Very weird to be in a room with complete strangers and not see you hand directly in front of your face the sounds come from different directions are familiar...More

This has been on my list of things to experience in San Francisco since learning about it years ago. Last night we tried it. With today's sound technology it should be possible to present a sonal experience in which the audience feels like the train,...More

We enjoyed this since it is so very different than anything else. There were two parts, each about 20 minutes long. For us, that was the right amount of time. My only comment is that it was a bit confusing as to when to arrive...More

Its an amazing space and experience. The composers were happy to chat after about their work. The sounds flow and fly around you in darkness via 100+ speakers. It's on Fridays and Saturdays - I went twice!

We went as a group to the early showing. Get there a little early for a pre admission treat. Then relax and close your eyes. Take in this unique audio experience, from this father/son duo of audiophile inspiration. Make sure to sit in back row.

Audium-Theater of Sound-Sculptured space is amazing. This was an impressive event, you need to go open-minded and enjoy sound labyrinth. It's artistic, not a concert. It's trippy listening to this in the dark. This experience truly blew my mind. It is a worthwhile auditory experience.

I can only rate the first half as it was so bad that I had to leave at the intermission. I was expecting a wider variety of sounds. The sounds seemed to be mostly made by musical instruments, but in a more unexpected way -...More

Attended Audium for the first time last Friday. It may be worth going to, but becomes a bit boring after 20 minutes or so. It would be much more interesting if there was some theme or gradual build up in the auditory experience. As it...More

Audium is a world-exclusive, only-in-San Francisco experience. In a gently faded 60s decor, the composer introduces his work personally. Then you sit in the dark dome and listen to the sound show/composition. I can't believe this is not a famous attraction--I hope Audium will be...More
