The tour is quite long, like 2.5 hours, offering the traditional hop on hop of experience, with headphones and guide in 5-6 languages. The best part is that you cross the Golden Gate which is a very nice (and very windy) experience. The price is 50 USD for adults and 40 USD for children up to 12 years.

A great choice for seeing the city and sausilito plus walking tours and a night tour. The guides speak many languages and the headphones offer 7+ language options.

My family and I did not enjoy our experience of the Big Bus Tour in San Francisco on Friday 14th April. There were not enough buses running making for huge queues at every main stop, the sound quality on the buses of the live commentary was very poor, the live commentary was in places a bit inappropriate for my 9... I was very lucky to have Big Bus Blake as my tour guide along with Awesome Andrew. Blake was very amusing the whole two hours and was very passionate about what he spoke about and seemed to genuinely love his job. We also had a nice talk at the end about David Bowie :)

All the staff were very polite and considerate and took their time explaining various points of interest. The route is extensive and takes about two hours to do the loop as there are 21 stops. The downside is that it's a loop so you can't use it to hop around town too easily.

Definitely book this tour and if you can buy the ticket that includes the Alcatraz island visit then all the better. The hosts on the bus were really informative and helpful and the tour covers every sight you would want to see. Buses are regular and reliable. We wouldn't have seen half the places without doing this. The night tour... More

This is a good way to take in the city and see what you would like to return to visit . The buses run regularly and offer onboard commentary.

Took a ride when family was visiting - Not clean busses - not good drivers - not worth doing the city as San Francisco is a small one and can see better on foot… that is how my out of town family members felt too…
