My husband and I went on the Farallon Islands Whale Watching tour yesterday and we are still so pumped about it. First, I highly recommend going with The Oceanic Society because they are a non-profit organization. The funds you pay for your trip go toward...More

Although we didn't get to see a breach like the one in Oceanic's photo, we saw lots of whales, seals, sea lions, porpoises and pelagic birds on our trip. The naturalists were extremely well versed in the cultural and natural history of the islands. They...More

Very nice and friendly staff and crew, however they shouldn’t advertise this as a Whale watching trip. This was more of a bird watching trip and if you’re not into birds this will just be a really long roundtrip boat ride to Farralon Islands -...More

Beautiful homes, beautiful people, and a beautiful
backdrop of the Golden Gate Bridge welcome visitors to
the Marina. Originally the location for the
Panama-Pacific International Exposition in 1915 (whose
remnants can be seen at the Palace of Fine Arts), much
of the land was filled and flattened to accommodate a
world’s fair. That ample space has given way to a
jogger’s paradise at the northern edge of the city.
