We spent about four hours walking and eating and eating and eating in the Mission district of SF. So much wonderful food, and our guide, Chris, could not have been more personable. Price seemed high, but the gratuity is included and you won’t be eating any more meals for the day.

My husband, 15 year old daughter and I were lucky enough to join Chris on his foodie adventure of North Beach and Chinatown. We’ve visited San Francisco before and came back because we love this city so much, but thanks to Chris we have a whole new perspective on this wonderful community. His knowledge, humour and enormous respect for the people of this city makes you feel part of it. We were introduced to the owners of the stores and eateries we visited and Chris gave us the background of each establishment which made meeting these remarkable people all the more interesting. Trust me, make sure to skip breakfast before your tour because you will not go home hungry. As Chris says “come close, I want to tell you something.” Do yourself a favour and book this tour, you will love it.

I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with Chris learning about the culture, family, food and hard work that goes on in the Mission District. He did a fabulous job of making us feel like we were part of the family that he has built in this community. It was easy to see that he has built a trust and has a fabulous relationship with the owners of the businesses that he shared with us. After working a few years in the restaurant business as a manager of a friend’s family restaurant, I know the hours and hard work that it takes to succeed in this business. When I hear of the longevity of the family owned restaurants that we toured, I am impressed. Chris did a great job of trying to share that message with our group but as you know, everyone thinks they want to own a restaurant…until they actually see how challenging and how long the hours are. :-) I congratulate Chris Milano on his successes and hope that he have many more in your near future! If I make it back to the San Francisco area, I would definitely take part in another one of Chris’ tours. He was fabulous in every way.

My boyfriend and I went to SF for vacation and were recommended this tour by friends. It was such a great way to spend half a day. Chris is an amazing tour guide, with knowledge and stories to keep you entertained for hours. He knows so many hidden gems and people around the city, you’ll see and learn things you never would have otherwise. All the food is also AWESOME. You leave well fed but with also plenty of laughs, walking, and learning, so you never crash. Can’t recommend this enough if you love trying new food and want to see the city. We did the Chinatown/ North Beach one, and will definitely try this Mission tour next time we are in town. Thanks Chris!!

Chris is AMAZING! We had a team building event with him in June 2019. Everyone in the group enjoyed themselves so much that we're looking to schedule another tour! Thank you Chris!
