Great trip. I am sure we got to see and do things we would not have found if we had just hired a car, as we have no local knowledge. Adam was a great tour guide, trip was relaxing and hassle free.

Thank you Andrea! You guys were such a fun group - I'm so glad you explored Santa Barbara so thoroughly! Any tour operator would be lucky to have your family as guests! Cheers, Kelly

Swanky and stylish, Nob Hill sits in the heart of the
city and is home to amazing architecture and views.
The hike to the top can be a challenging workout for
those who forego a cable car ride, but they will be
rewarded with some of the city’s most beautiful
architecture adorning its peak. Originally populated
with mansions after the Gold Rush, most if not all
were devastated in the 1906 earthquake and fire that

Solo & maybe drive from SF to LA and LV April 2014 (8 Replies)
Hello Tripadvisor's and California's folks, I'm so new to tripadvisor and also to California. I'm going solo for the first time from Europe to the destinations mentioned above from 7-21 April and am still hesitating if i should rent a car/drive or if i should take a tour from SF to LA. Renting a car would be better if i have a company. In this case, if anyone interested to join, please let me know. Taking a tour seems interesting to me but only with Explore California tour....More

Welcome to the Forums! This is the San Francisco forum. I think if you go up a level to the California forum and check the Top Questions there (right side of screen, non mobile version of TA) you'll find a lot of info on this drive as it's a very popular one. This site will be of less help with organized tours as most people posting here (both asking and answering) are generally doing their plans on the DIY basis and are not looking to book a planned tour of the state.
