This is one of the best live shows I've ever seen. His magic tricks are jaw-dropping, he is funny, engaging, and very connected to and appreciative of his audience. At least 1/2 of the audience gets to be involved with his tricks which only adds to the amazing fun!

Jay was spectacular. Engagement and performance was intimate. Down to earth and very enjoyable. I’ve seen other mentalist performances and this was truly one of the best. The small feel of the theater also added to the personal touch to the performance. Must see entertainment.

From the moment my wife and I walked down the stairs into the unique Marrakech Theater, we were thoroughly entertained by Jay. We loved the fact that the show was so "personal", to the point that Jay was the first to greet us when we arrived! The pre-show card tricks were close-up and amazing, and set the tone for what we were about to see inside the intimate theater. His tricks were truly incredible, and the show was also very funny and entertaining as he involved the entire audience from start to finish. Jay was clearly committed to ensuring that everyone that attended had a good time! WE DID, and we'll be back with more friends and family!!

We thoroughly enjoyed this experience. We did upgrade our seats to front row but because of the very small and intimate setting, it wasn’t necessary but glad to do it to support the theater. Jay, the magician, was very entertaining as well as the personal contact and interaction was great.

This is a lovely place to bring a family. This may be the last regular live show running in San Francisco now that the final curtain fell on Beach Blanket Babylon.
Magic IS better in an intimate setting. Jay Alexander is the consummate host and entertainer. You can tell that he loves performing magic. The location is in the Union Square neighborhood. The mint tea is delicious.

I would highly recommend checking out Jay's show. You go down stairs to what is like a secret cellar that opens up to a Moroccan club from the 1930's. Jay visits with his guests one on one so you get to know him personally so it's not like you're just a number in the crowd. His magic is amazing and mind blowing and will keep you wondering how he was able to do some of those tricks. If you're in the City Jay's show is a hidden gem that you should see. You won't be disappointed.

We had Jay do a magic show for our customers and prospects via ZOOM. It was the best virtual event we have done so far. If you are looking for something different to do with your employees and or clients, book Jay. He will customize the event, so you'll get a great response.

We, like many of the other "guests", were attracted by the TripAdvisor rating of "top 3" attraction in SF. Top 3 is more than a stretch. The best magic trick was how $90. disappeared from my pocket for the cost of the show. Make no mistake, Peter Morrison puts on a solid show. He's a professional who makes the audience feel at ease. If it's about expectations, this show is a disappointment. When you're rated among the top 3 attractions by TripAdvisor, the bar is set high, maybe too high in this case. $90. for two tickets to this magic show was just not value for the dollar. If you want to pay $90, to see a "respectable" magic show, in the basement of a restaurant, go for it. For my money, a disappointing evening, and tuly incredible how this could make the top three list.

My partner is uncomfortable in tight small upstairs and basement theater spaces where fire exits seem either non-existent or problematic. Is this theater space certified as
safe by the SF Fire Dept and do patrons ever comment about feeling potentially trapped?

Hi 931christopherk,
We have never had anyone mention anything and the fire department has been down here many times.
I would recommend calling us and we can discuss it and I will send you photos.
It is an old San Francisco building and I would hate for your partner to feel uncomfortable.
Best,
Jay Alexander

The doors open and hour before showtime. We have food and drinks in the lounge and close-up magic. The show lasys 75-90 minutes. The entire nigh is 2-2.5 hours if you come for the entire experience.

how much did it cost to go see the show?
FLTraveler57
North Lauderdale, FL3 contributions
$45.00 is correct. We paid an extra $10.00 each for guaranteed front row seats. It was very worth the extra, but keep in mind the theater only has about 6 rows, so all seats are good.

Appropriate for 13 and 15 year old in a barlike setting?

Absolutely. Kids are welcome and the area before the show is a restaurant where you order food, as well as beer or wine if you want. Cozy and exotic, but not a bar.
