We don't want your s**t kind

Walked in and tried to order, they said that they didn't want our kind since we were Salesforce types. Kicked us out with the explanation that they don't want Salesforce s**t.

Rock music and friendly bar service
Oct 2017 • Couples
We were looking for live music, went in for a beer and were entertained by the bartender Mike. He's a music guy and loves to do dishes and sweep. He was singing and chatting while whipping up drinks. Seemed to be a welcome place for all types of people. The live music wasn't our "cup of tea", but we liked this place.

Rock and roll and whiskey neat

The last bar on Polk that isn't a never-ending top 40s pop nightmare. Punk rock? Country? Metal? This is your place. Kanye? Go ... well ... pretty much anywhere else in the area.

Thanks guys.

Enjoyable at any age

I went specifically because my son had put together 3 bands to play on Saturday night. I must say it was all new but I'll be back. The music was awesome, the crowd was friendly and beer was cold.

Interesting to have a hipster bar in the Tenderloin, but it works!

We saw a podcast recording here called Baby Genius, which was good fun. It only added to the hipster vibe. :) If you didn't know, hipsters are abrassive at first; and you'll be in their natural habitat, so act accordingly. Fun fact; there is an enclosed smoking patio in the bar.

"Rock n Roll"
Feb 2011
Okay, so, I am over 50 music enthusiast that has barely stepped foot in a bar in the past 20 years, but my heart is still beating the rhythm-blues rock and roll.
Through the dark bar littered with stand up tables and bar stools, past the juke box and the centrally located walk around bar, is a door way that leads to the music room. My new boyfriend and I wandered in off the street and paid $7.00 apiece to listen to Nighthorse, The Binges and Electric Sister on a weekend night in a room so small and intimate room it is more like inviting the band over to the house to play than going out. Great acoustics, wonderful energy, and plenty of talent. The youthful crowd was fun, upbeat, and accepting of the old geezers wandering around asking for expensive alcohol.
If you ever have the chance to catch Justin Maranga of Night horse playing anywhere, anytime, do it. What an incredibly exciting rhythm guitar.
