This was our second San Francisco walking tour with Valerie. We wanted to learn the history of Union Square and Chinatown. Valerie's in-depth knowledge made the tour a big success for us. The post earthquake/fire architecture is very interesting. The hidden treasures of the many hotels, art work /galleries and people are fascinating. The evolution of Chinatown and the plight of the immigrants was eye opening. We are looking forward to our next tour with Valerie/Hobnob.

Alerted was so full of information and history of the Nob Hill area. As it turned out I was the only one signed up the day of my tour. It was a one on one experience. I couldn’t have been more delighted with the tour. She was so prepared and excited about her presentation. I learned so much about Nob Hill. Wonderful!

Had a wonderful and enlightening tour with Rajni. She is very passionate about San Francisco and knows so much history and where the hidden gems are. Most I would have passed by if she hadn't been there to show me. We had a great time and the tour was very informative.

We selected this tour on our “Sister’s Trip” to San Francisco because it fit best with our schedule, location, and time available on that afternoon. Our tour guide was very informative and knew the history well of the famous Big 4 tycoons and the stories behind Nob Hill. Unfortunately, we were under the impression the tour was 2 hours but the guide stated it was designed for 2.5 so we had to cut it short. The tour included a great length of time (1hr) in the beautiful Fairmont hotel and time allowed to visit the Cathedral, but a donation was required to view the inside of the church. We weren’t aware of that so we did not spend much time there. Not much time was spent “walking” on this tour. We were hoping to “huff and puff” up one of the steep San Fran hills in that area. Based on the description of this tour we thought we would see more buildings with discussion of its architecture and not spend so much time inside one building. However, our tour guide could tell a good story with some fun information looking into the lives of these tycoons and their families. Haight-Ashbury walking tour would have been more our vibe but it was scheduled too late in the day and not near our other plans we had that day.
