We really enjoyed this tour. It is a long day but we enjoy the journey as much as the destination. The trip takes you through coast and mountains ( sometimes hidden by that coastal fog!) and through vast horticultural areas to that lovely seaside village of Carmel where there are boutique shops and then to Monterey. On the way we... More

We had a great guide who provided good information and was quite friendly and helpful. Muir Woods was simply beautiful...but one hour was barely enough for a nice walk. We would have loved to spend time in the gift shop or grab a snack, but there just wasn't time. Sausalito was just a 30-45 minute stop. It was 12:30 when... More

Took the Sonoma, Napa wine tasting tour. Went to Jacuzzi, Cline and Chandon Dominog sp?, with Cynthia. She was a great tour guide, kept us on a tight schedule, which was about right for the wineries. But for the lunch stop in Sonoma, we barely got our meal finished and it was time to leave. Not her fault. But would... More

Great Pacific picked us up at our hotel. The tour visited Cline Vineyards and Jacuzzi Vineyards. Both properties are owned/operated by the same family therefore are across the street from each other. Each vineyard offered a different personality. Both provided a group tasting of 5 wines. Afterwards, we were able to roam the property, visit the gift shop and have... More

Excellent tour, we were given a very informative and interesting tour by our guide Cynthia. She was also able to avoid any traffic with her knowledge of the streets of SF. I even discovered that Dungeness crab get it's name from the port of Dungeness, Washington and nothing to do with Dungeness, Kent..

We decided to spend a day outside the city and chose this company for its comfortable van, with the price covering lunch and generous tastings at three wineries. The tour also went to both Napa and Sonoma. We were picked up promptly at our hotel and returned 9 hours later. Jim did a great job navigating the traffic and pointing... More

We had a great time visiting wine country on this tour. We were on a bus with ten in total. This was a very comfortable number of people. The tour guide made an effort to introduce us to each other and get us all chatting which we thought was nice. We visited two winerys in Sonoma, my favourite was Cline... More

We picked this tour after reading so many reviews. Out guide Judith was great (funny whacked sense of German humour!). Picked up in a very clean and modern van, only 10 people on tour. Like every other review, the same wineries and lunch, and obviously as tours you have to go somewhere, but more time in Sonoma (15 minutes after lunch... More

We booked this tour via the concierge, we were so glad we did it was a fabulous day. It started by being picked up right outside the hotel, we started to wine taste at 10 am with a very knowledgeable lady at jacuzzi winery. The setting was out of this world, the weather was rainy but this did not impact... More

Staying in Hayes Valley

Neighborhood Profile
Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
