We went on a bicycle tour of the streets of San Francisco with a very knowledgeable guide, I think his name was John, who was a great bloke. Very cheap for a group experience and tour of the city. The next day we returned and cycled from the shop to the golden gate bridge and into Sausalito and caught the... More

I did a bike tour with Streets of San Francisco last Saturday and absolutely loved it. Brandon was an excellent guide. My favorite part was seeing the neighborhoods and parks around the city- the ones most tourists probably do not ever get to. I also loved getting a discount for the ice cream shop next door. :-) Perfect ending to... More

Our 2 teen girls, my husband and I now have a fantastic memory of zipping through 15 unique SF neighborhoods complete with a tour guide and many laughs! Adam took us on a journey we won't forget and will heartily recommend to anyone who enjoys the outdoors and wants to see SF in the best possible way. Worth every penny!... More

My 17-year old daughter and I enjoyed seeing San Francisco through the 3 hour "easy" tour. We saw some parts that we most likely wouldn't have seen otherwise. I hope to take another tour the next time I am in San Francisco. Well worth it!

We were lucky enough to only have 3 in our group so it was basically a private tour of san fran. Josh was very knowledgeable with all things old and new. We took our time, but at the same time covered all the areas in plenty of detail. Was 1000X's better than what I expected. And it wasnt one of... More

This was a great (inner city) tour - Heart of The City. Our tour guide was also John - he was knowledgeable and incredibly down to earth. Some of the SOSF tour stops along the way were: the Mission District, the Painted Ladies, The Castro, Haight-Ashbury, and Golden Gate Park. Get out of the car and start pedaling; this tour... More

If you are fit, enjoy cycling, and want to avoid the crowds- the 7x7 tour with earl is for you! He is a fun tour guide and the bikes are in great shape (with gel padded seats). Easy to follow earl and enjoy the view (and avoid most hills...). During the tour- I saw self guided cyclist trying to decipher... More

I had an absolutely wonderful time on the "Majestic Electric" bike tour, led by our very knowledgeable, friendly and enthusiastic guide Adam. Riding on the electric bikes was a breeze and allowed us to cover more distance with less exertion, but you could control the amount of "kick" the electric motor gave you, meaning you could make the ride harder... Loved every minute! Our tour guide John was so knowledgeable and incredibly down to earth. We caught some great sights on the streets of San Francisco tour including the golden gate park, the painted ladies and the mission district. Do dress in layers as the weather is so unpredictable. Don't miss out on doing this great tour- an awesome way... More

Staying in Hayes Valley

Neighborhood Profile
Hayes Valley
Chock full of designer boutiques, art galleries, funky shoe stores, and great restaurants, it’s hard to imagine Hayes Valley once languished in the shadow of a major freeway. Its removal allowed for the creation of an attractive boulevard on Octavia Street with a community park at its center and dozens of trendy businesses to satisfy visitors looking for a stylish respite.
