Did the Heart of the City tour with Josh (a San Francisco native). It was a really cool experience riding to the various neighborhoods of the city. Learned a lot about the history that I didn't know. If you're looking to explore some the city's neighborhoods I would highly recommend this tour. The hills weren't bad either. They use the wiggle...a series of streets with bike lanes that utilized flatter areas with less inclines. Thanks Josh!!!

This was the best part of our 3 day trip! Off to a late start due to staff miscommunications - made us a bit nervous, (Is this company gonna be ok?) We shouldn't have been worried, Ebikes were easy to learn and we had a chance to practice a bit in a local park area .Spent a lot of concentration on the technicalities of the bike and traffic, and felt we missed a few things because of it, but were able to go back to the things we wanted to on another day. Josh took us up to the first tower on GG Bridge despite it not being part of the agenda. Bonus! Lunch was pre-ordered at Java beach cafe, (The hot Tsunami with the works would almost feed three people!) Ate the lunch near the casting pool, a hidden gem of solitude in the midst of the park. a stop at the holocaust memorial, a (too quick) trip down an alley of murals - there were MANY sights we were shown And told about. Got separated from the group twice but they waited. Good pace was kept up and the group of 7 plus guides all seemed to have a wonderful time. All this fun was had by a couple who rarely ride bikes!

Josh our guide led us on a great E-bike tour of interesting neighborhoods of San Francisco. Not the usual tick box tourist top 10 but really fascinating lesser known parts. Josh was fun, full of humour and extremely knowledgeable about San Fran of old and to date. Having grown up there he really helped us get to know how SF developed over the years. A delicious deli stop for lunch eaten in a quiet spot really fuelled us for the day. Thank you Josh, you were great.

The Classic bike tour is the perfect way to start a stay in San Francisco. The bikes were excellent, well kept, very light and easy to ride. Bebee our tour guide was awesome - enthusiastic, funny, took good care of all of us, and was very knowledgeable. Thanks Bebee, you are the best! A couple of things worth noting:

- The classic is almost 20 km long, but perfectly planned so that only the first hr is slightly uphill.
- You need to be able to ride a bike, but apart from that anyone can manage the tour.
- Sunday is probably the best day to take the tour (less cars, and the Golden Gate Park is car free)
- It's perfect to take the tour in the beginning of a stay in SF.
- Wear several layers of cloth (it became really warm in the middle of the day).

In short, I really recommend taking one of the tours that the "Streets of San Francisco Bike Tours" offer. They are no. 1 on TA for a very good reason!

I have lived in San Francisco for 9 years and I've never seen some of the hidden gems that were revealed to us on the SOSF tour. I signed up for this tour with my mom who was visiting for the weekend. We had done the ride through Fisherman's Warf and over Golden Gate Bridge many times. Frankly, I find it unpleasant and unsafe due to the crowds along the water and the bridge.

This was a totally different experience. We had a wonderful time exploring some of the less touristy neighborhoods of San Francisco. We pedaled through Golden Gate Park, the Haight and the Mission, learning all sorts of interesting, little-known facts about the city along the way. The bikes were super comfy. The ride was relatively flat (hard to do in SF!). The guides were professional, safe, informative and fun!

I highly recommend this tour for visitors and locals looking for a new perspective of our beautiful city.

Daniel did a fantastic job with our private tour. The biking was great and we discovered all sorts of hidden little secrets across San Fran. We would bike for a bit, stop for 5 minutes to learn some history or an interesting story about the area, and then wander into a little shop, hidden garden, or museum for a few minutes to an even richer sense of the history, sights, sounds, and even tastes (read: delicious ice cream) of San Fran. Amazing bike tour.

SoSF was most accommodating. I was the only one on the tour and they were willing to change it to a private tour (of course extra cost is needed) so I didn't have to change my plan. The tour was great for those who want to have a glimpse of the city and the physical requirement was not harsh. My tour guide Frank was more than great and he was very knowledgeable and he gave me a lot of information on the city. Can't recommend this tour more!

I did the "Heart of the City" bike tour and it was fantastic. I highly recommend. The tour guide was super interesting and the history and personal stories were informative and interesting. The sites and bicycle riding were safe and fulfilling.

On my tour was a horrible German family with three future sociopath boys who live in Tribeca NYC, and summer in the Hamptons. They bragged for four hours about how rich they are and the unlimited resources they have and how the middle class are awful.

Even with those horrible Germans the tour was great!!!!

My son (age 14) and I did the heart of the city tour with a group of about 8 others and daniel as our guide. Although there was some light rain to start with, they have plenty of jackets, gloves, ponchos etc to borrow to make sure you stay warm and dry. The tour starts in the Hayes district, and explores the neighborhoods of San Francisco (eg mission, haight ashbury) as well as golden gate park, city hall etc. Daniel was really friendly and very knowledgable and it was great to get the local's insight into the city. He also followed up with some excellent restaurant recommendations off the tourist circuit. The tour was a great way to kind of get your bearings for the city, and decide where you want to go back and explore in more detail. Highly recommended.

My wife, daughter and I took the Heart of the City tour with Josh on Saturday afternoon. Weather was perfect and we saw the city from a new perspective. Josh is native San Franciscain and knows the city like the back of his hand. The trip is relaxing and very informative. We even got to see some "pride" over near the Civic Center. Highlights are the Mission District, Haight - Ashbury, the park and of course, the Wiggle. The street art in the was a favorite of my wife and daughter. Josh seems to have a real passion for this and took his time with this part of the ride.

The hills are not intimidating. There's only one steep downhill that's a lot of fun. The equipment was very well maintained. One of the other riders has a seat post issue and Josh switched bikes with him. Our family will be back next year and we'll book another tour with SOSF.

One additional note, when I went online, all the Heart of the City tours were sold out. I took a flier and called anyway. Daniel answered and we struck up a conversation. I explained our travel situation and he opened up a new tour for us. Needless to say, this tour sold out too. Big thanks to Daniel for going the extra mile. The ride was one of the highlights of our trip. I've told anyone who would listen about it.
