Magic Bus. Magic Bus blends past and present in a psychedelic journey...

Magic Bus. Magic Bus blends past and present in a psychedelic journey through San Francisco's rich counter-culture history. This two-hour “trip” aboard a brightly painted vintage bus weaves a visual narrative of San Francisco from Beatniks to the Summer of Love and beyond! With retractable window screens and digital micro-projectors, Magic Bus uses innovative technology to create a mobile movie theater on a bus. See San Francisco through a new window of altered perception and historical context. Sing along to classic tunes with our hippie hostess. Flash peace signs to passers-by as bubbles swirl from the bus. Stroll through the grass in Golden Gate Park with a flower in your hair, all on your time-traveling adventure aboard Magic Bus!

Building on a 30 year history of original, site-specific productions, including the original Alcatraz Cell House Tour, Antenna Theater presents a new kind of tour experience- the Magic Bus!

We did the Magic Bus because it was the only way we could get Alcatraz tickets. We are not generally tour bus type folks. But the Magic Bus was great fun, and provided a lot of insight into the turbulent '60s. Highly recommend it, espcially if you are interested in, or have dim memories, of that era. BTW, it's operated... More

We joined a tippy tribe for the morning and saw the city as is and as was. 'Peace and love' our guide shouted out the window as bubbles blew in the wind and music echoed. Our teenagers were excruciated by wearing flowers in their hair and listening to their parents sing along - "you'll never guess..." stories for their friends.... More

I took this tour with my 18 year old granddaughter and we both thought it was a lot of fun. I lived through this era in a small Southern town and was aware of what was going on "out there" but my personal experience was totally different. My grand daughter was unaware of this history but liked learning about it... More

Excellent tour and very fun and laid back. Learned a lot about the City and its history. This is a very personalized tour and best for people that want to have fun. Also an excellent way to also get to see Alcatraz on the same day.

Went with small group, weather perfect! The hostess was fun, dressed in the garb and kept the show moving. Traveled through time and many of the neighborhoods identifiable with San Francisco and the Summer of Love. Suggest to update video with higher quality movies of the times and possible videos of neighborhoods then and now.

Re-living our time during the 60s on this bus trip. Great screen technology and fun-loving tour guide and driver made this a great way to see San Francisco (then and now). Even if you were not around in the 60s, you will find this tour well worth it. So much to learn and so much to remember. They have it... More

Our hosts made this experience a uniquely San Francisco fabulous experience! We loved the trip they took us on - a superb mix of music, film and history through the eyes of "flower power". We recommend taking your memories and sense of humor for a trip back to the "Summer of Love" on the Magic Bus.

Are you ready to relax and feel groovy? Then this is the tour for you. Its not your typical cheesy city bus tour. Magic Bus makes it fun, interactive and educational. I recently visited a friend in SF and this was the very first thing we did. This was there THIRD time on the tour and she digs it every... More

We went on the Magic Bus and dressed up for it. Our guide was thrilled that we had made the effort. It was great going "back in time" and visiting places that we had only heard about. A really fun time.

We loved our trip back to the "Summer of Love" on the Magic Bus. Our hosts were energetic and inclusive. We sang along to the great songs of the era, and saw some key sights of the city. It was very interesting to learn the hippie history of SF. I would highly recommend this tour! My only regret is not... More
