My husband, brother and I were on a cruise which stopped into San Francisco for the day. Fortunately for my husband & I this was our 2nd time to San Fran but 1st time for my brother so wanted to maximise our time and show him as much as possible and so booked a private 4 hour San Fran tour and highly recommend. My husband & I have been on various sight seeing bus tour companies but nothing compared to this tour. When initially enquiring we advised of destinations we wanted to visit & how long we could allocate for private tour. Christian who was our guide tailored tour to meet our request (even adding an attraction we didn’t think we would have time to see). Within the 4 hours we were able to see: Golden Gate Bridge (from 3 different viewing points giving us awesome photos), painted ladies, Haight Street (with time to walk around) Sausalito, China Town & Palace of Fine Arts. cannot praise and thank our guide Christian enough. great sense of humour and very knowledgeable in San Fran culture, history and attractions. If visiting again would definitely do this tour again.

I come to San Francisco for years and still I learned and discovered so much during this one morning tour. Our guide Christian was simply great, very enthusiastic. He really knows how to share his enthusiasm about the city and is very friendly. He will also advise where to grab cheap and delicious food or take a drink where the locals go. Thank you very much Christian!

Flavors and Murals of the Mission was my first tour with Urban Adventures. Started in Dynamo Donuts with delicious coffee and great stylish unpretentious atmosphere. Good place for meeting point.:-)) Then came Linda, my guide. Because I was alone that day, who ordered this tour, she was my private guide. I have to appreciate Urban Adventures too much that my tour wasn’t canceled and Linda was perfectly prepared. Walk through the Mission was a trip not only through the streets, but also in history, art, social and economic issues, as reflected in the image of this area. The Mission means beautiful murals on the walls and buildings, each with its own special issues, which reflects and describes, numerous restaurants, bars, pastries. Linda explained me almost every scene on the walls and its history. To experience was perfect, the walk was completed with stops to taste the typical local snacks- donuts, cakes, tacos and other goodies. Linda was very nice and professional. The tour was really excited. I can only 100% recommend. If you want to know the life and history of SF, the walking tour with Urban Adventures is a great choice and you will not be disappointed !!!

This was the best tour on my trip, by far. Youssef was well informed about the bridge and all of the lesser known facts about the city itself.

Our tour with Isabella turned out to be just the four of us!! We were two couples from the east coast and this walking tour went to an area we had not explored before despite visiting SF on several occasions.
Isabella was a cheerful presence who guided us from the GG bridge along the coastal trail, across the beach, through a beautiful residential neighborhood, and through Lands End. Although you probably could figure out this route on your own, it was very nice to have someone direct you where to go.
The weather varied dramatically from cold and windy on the bridge to warm and calm on the beach. Dressing with multiple layers was key. She offered to take pictures of us and even had little goody bags for us at the end! We ended at the Cliff House totem pole and she gave us suggestions on how to get back to the city. We said goodbye but opted to go in for drinks. About 20 minutes later, we were surprised to see Isabella again at our table. She had searched and managed to find us because she realized she didn’t have my email to send the photos she had taken!! What service!
It was a lovely but energetic way to spend an afternoon in SF.

I was very lucky to get my own personalized tour of the city as I ended up being the one signing up. It also happen to be one of few days of the year where it was over 80 degrees out and there was not a cloud in the sky so it was perfect for taking pics of Golden Gate Bridge and getting lot great shots of the Bay/Ocean. My tour guide name was Kevin and he's native to SF so he knows everything about the city's history. The 4 hour flew by so quickly as it was more of a conversation hike. Kevin took lot great pics of me so I didn't have to do those terrible selfies that I"m not good at lol. He also gave me lot great recommendations on were to go out at night and new places to visit. The West Side of SF is truly beautiful. It's amazing how much park land still exists and I got some amazing coastal pics hiking towards Land's End and you have tons of opportunities to get different pic angles of the Golden Gate Bridge! If you are into hiking and getting those IG worthy SF pics this is the tour to do!

I did the Flavors and Murals of the Mission tour with Victor and it was fantastic! Besides all the gorgeous food he pointed out so many murals I would have missed myself and told me much more information about the more visible ones than I could have even thought to ask about. It's an amazing area of the city and full of life and colour and food and family. Would definitely recommend doing this tour!

I have traveled multiple times with Urban Adventures in various other locations. Urban Adventures has always offered me an excellent experience, San Francisco was no different! I contacted them about a combination of 3 tours in one day and received a quick response from Amanda. She had everything set up and arranged quickly. I did the Flavors and Murals of the Mission that rainy morning with Christian. The weather prevented me from doing Bridge & the Beach, Amanda contacted Christian and got me switched to the Teas, Temples and Beatniks Chinatown tour with Suzy. That evening I did North Beach Walking Pub Tour with Suzy. Christian and Suzy were both excellent guides. They were very knowledgable and informative the whole time.

Learning the stories and meanings behind the murals in The Mission district was a highlight. The artwork was incredible. Our guide was fantastic and took us to some sites off the beaten path that we would never have found otherwise. The food stops along the way also made the tour more interesting (not to mention delicious) in that we got a first hand look at the local culture and quisine. Highly recommend. Was definitely a highlight of our trip to SF.

I have been coming to San Francisco since 1981 on business, but my wife came with me on this trip. We took this trip because we thought it would be a great way to see Chinatown and we were not disappointed. Christian was excellent. His knowledge and enthusiasm showed and he gave us great information and took us to many out of the way locations that a person could have never found without this structured tour. While I view myself as knowing a lot about SF, Christian made the tour very interesting and I learned a lot. Definitely a tour to take if you want to see Chinatown and learn about the place to eat and drink in North Beach.

We can definitely host large groups! Contact us to work out the details if you have a private group. We like to keep our tours intimate and in small groups, so we would organize a guide for every twelve guests.

What is the phone number to call for their hours? Or does anyone know their approximate hours of operation? We'd love to visit!
