My wife and I like wine, but we're not connoisseurs by any stretch. We like what we like and drink for taste and enjoyment. So when we wanted to tour Napa while being in the area; it was as much about experience as it was...More

We have scheduled tours with Nax for over 14 years. His knowledge of Napa and Sonoma wineries is without peer. He has the experience and connections to make your visit to wine country extraordinary! Highly recommended.

Pablo was great and we really enjoyed our day. We got to see many smaller vineyards which is what we wanted.

We've always driven to various wineries on our own but decided this time to treat ourselves to a personal driver. Prior to our trip, we were allowed to select one winery to visit and our guide selected the others. Evan, our driver, picked us up...More

We booked Max Napa Tours with another couple and had a great experience. As first timers, we gave Max Tours the freedom to plan our day based on our wine preference. They did not disappoint....it seemed to like we had each winery to ourselves. Very...More

We had an awesome time with Max’s Napa Tours. Our guide Pablo was fantastic, so knowledgable he has even written a book on wine. His selection of 4 wineries was great and allowed us to see a different type of winery each time. Tastings were...More

You should call him up on the phone. That’s what i did and I left a message. He returned my call, answered all my questions, and we stayed in communication via Messenger. Never an issue with communication. Very friendly.

Need help planning day trip/tour (0 Replies)
Hi everyone, I am coming to SF w/ my fiance for 3 nights at the end of July. I wanted to take one day to do a tour of some Napa wineries (for sure Domaine Chandon & Orin Swift). I am looking into private tours (so far found Max Napa Tours which is $650 which is kinda expensive - I talked to the guy and he was super chatty - almost annoying. Then I saw reviews on Wine Country Chauffer, and that was a little cheaper so I may call him. What are your thoughts on private tours vs. just hiring...More

Not sure when you are looking to book your tour but I will be able to give you information on Vino Van Tour after next week. We are booked for a day tour to Sonoma with him. His initial responses were very quick and pleasant. We are trying to get in touch to finalize our day; he hasn't been as responsive as at first but he may be out / taking time off himself. Eva

Itinerary and Suggestions Please (5 Replies)
We will be in San Francisco Sept. 28th through Oct. 4. I've been reading the forums and I have come up with a possible itinerary. We have booked a couple of tours which leaves us with little wiggle room. Can I get all of your thoughts, please? Are we trying to do to much on Wednesday? Wednesday: Land in SF at 10:00 am. Check into hotel in Union Square Chinatown - Eat at Hunan Home’s restaurant. Just picked this out based on the reviews. Lombard Street North Beach Dinner at Restaurant...More

Fisherman's Wharf has high prices and lower quality. It is for tourists only. I'd avoid it and concentrate on the various neighborhoods. The Alcatraz Tour is very interesting. You can easily cross the GG Bridge. Look for live music at the different venues. You can walk from Union Square to Chinatown and North Beach.
