Well, it's a wonderful day trip experience.

First, allow me to say something good about the service provider: Steven is a skillful driver, humorous guide, and old-time classic DJ whom I enjoy spending time with. oh oh, almost forgot his good photographic skills. (thanks for the tips for taking mountain reflection off the water surface, bro).

The tour itself was well-organized in terms of schedule and the choices of scenic spots. It really covered the essences of the Yosemite valley and condensed them in a whole day trip.
I would definitely recommend this to all of you.

Steve’s the Man for San Francisco.

Steve picked us up from our hotel and from there it was a very personalised tour for next five hours. Steve showed us all the spots in San Francisco he would normally take family and friends. Steve was super informative as SF is his home town and loves to share all about this great city. Loved his company and loved his info. You’re a great bloke Steve. Thank you.

Stephen (TG) was incredible. Passionate, friendly and with a wealth of knowledge. Excellent work. When people talk about ‘the heart of San Fransisco’ they’re talking about people like Stephen.

His positive and bubbly persona shines throughout, despite the early start! We headed off from San Fransisco to Yosemite at 5:35am with plenty of rest stops along the way. Stephen then guided us around the most beautiful part of Northern California with the intricacy of someone who has intimate knowledge of the area.

His passion for his city and the state in which he lives is brilliant. He makes you feel part of the landscape and will guide you to the best photo spots.

10/10, worth every penny. I would go a step beyond saying ‘highly recommend’ and instead say that you cannot miss the Yosemite tour.

Perfect day in a perfect place with a perfect tour guide.

Stay passionate.

Although I was born and raised in California, I had never been to Yosemite. I went with Brian from Best Bay Area Tours and the whole experience was just amazing. From start to finish, the attention to detail was second to none and Brian made sure that my experience was the best. It is clear that Brian has a passion for what he does and that he has a vast knowledge of the park. I have actually described Brian to others as knowing the park "like the back of his hand". I highly recommend Brian as a tour guide and this company if you are looking for a great way to get the most out of a short time at Yosemite.

Brian our driver was exceptionally informative about what to expect and varied our trip to take in the best views when the sun was in the right place. Plenty of stops for photos and comfort breaks. Pickup and timings were excellent.

fantastic time! Best guide!

We had the most amazing day with Steven. We visited two fantastic wineries. The food pairing was out of this world. Having access to a friendly, chatty guide like Steven meant we got to learn some cool facts about the area. We would 100% take this tour again. Thank you so much for your exceptional service, fantastic wineries and just generally a great day. Hook & Ladder was our favourite place to visit today. The history of the winery as well as the staff and the wines made it A++

Beautiful Yosemite tour.

Very convenient tour which picked you up at your hotel and dropped you off there. The tour guide Phil did a great job with hitting all the highlights and ensuring multiple areas for photo stops. Van was comfortable for a long day. About 3hrs to Yosemite and back. We we gave restroom break about 1.5 hrs into the three hour drive and could get food at the grocery store for later. The park has a dining room but would be very pack in the busy season. The narrative of the park was great.
As well as the great photo opportunities.

The best tour with the best tour guide!

If you’re considering booking a tour with Best Bay Area Tours, just do it! Phil was an amazing and fun guide throughout our trip to Muir Woods and Napa/Sonoma wineries. You could tell he genuinely enjoys what he does and loves sharing his knowledge of the area with others. He made the trip fun with his jokes and curated music playlist but also was super informative throughout the whole experience. Do yourself a favor and book a tour now, you won’t regret it!

Great day at Yosemite

Brian is an excellent tour guide. He is very kind, accommodating and does his best to ensure everyone has a great experience. The sites he stops at allows plenty of time to get excellent pictures and started an hour earlier to reduce wait times. The sequioas hike is a trek but he leaves no man behind and makes it worth it. Worth it to experience.

We took Best Bay tours from San Francisco to Yosemite National Park. It is a 3 hour drive. We stopped halfway at a grocery store to pick up lunch and some snacks.
We made a few bonus stops before our actual itinerary stops. The views are breathtaking!!
Yosemite Falls were dried up, but we still saw the beautiful Bridal view Falls!! Also stopped next to a river for a few minutes to dip our feet in the water.
Our last stop we made was to see the Giant Sequoia trees. It is a moderate mile hike down to the trees. The trail is paved part of the ways and a wide dirt trail the rest of the way. The way up can be trying. But the hike is well worth it!
If you are prone to motion sickness, highly recommend taking motion sickness medication, as the roads up the mountain are sharp twisting and curving roads as you make your way up the mountain.

It is posibble to stay a little longer in the forest, and reduce that time from one winery ?? or do you have any other tour option with more time in that woods ? If it were a private tour, we could gladly change the itinerary for your group. However, others on the bus want 90 minutes in the woods and three wineries. We have found that the 1-mile stroll in the woods can be enjoyed in the time we spend in the woods.

I would call Best Bay tours directly. Trip Advisor is only a middle man and things happen. Our experiences with the tour company itself have been great and very professional. Enjoy!

Is there a lot of walking and hiking for the Yosemite tour from San Francisco? Is it friendly for senior citizens and young kids? Thanks. I was hoping that my parents can sit on the bus and see some great scenery with not too much hiking involved.

You can do as much or as little walking as you like on this tour. The places our driver stopped allowed for some great photo opportunities. When the tour stops for lunch you have 2 hours to do what you like. There is a restaurant shops or alternatively you can walk to the waterfall or through the trails. A thoroughly enjoyable trip. Elderly & children will find the walks not too difficult.

Hi, for the Yosemite tour how long/steep is the hike to the redwood trees? Also where does the bus stop for free time and how long do you have for free time? Does the tour stop at the visitors center, or do you visit during your free time? Thank you :)

Hi, The walk to the trees is on a downlward slope taking about 20 minutes. The walk back is uphill and usually takes about 30 minutes. The visitors center can be done on your free time which is usually about an hour and a half. Thank you for your interest in my tour company.
