First, allow me to say something good about the service provider: Steven is a skillful driver, humorous guide, and old-time classic DJ whom I enjoy spending time with. oh oh, almost forgot his good photographic skills. (thanks for the tips for taking mountain reflection off the water surface, bro).
The tour itself was well-organized in terms of schedule and the choices of scenic spots. It really covered the essences of the Yosemite valley and condensed them in a whole day trip.
I would definitely recommend this to all of you.

Steve picked us up from our hotel and from there it was a very personalised tour for next five hours. Steve showed us all the spots in San Francisco he would normally take family and friends. Steve was super informative as SF is his home town and loves to share all about this great city. Loved his company and loved his info. You’re a great bloke Steve. Thank you.

This tour company was so professional, everything from booking, confirmation, pick up, rest stops, actual itinerary was so accurate and well thought of. Can't speak enough about our tour guide/driver. Alberto was really excellent. He was knowledgeable. Information he provided was so interesting, down to the details such as on wall climbing, geology and history. He was also very funny and engaging. Highly recommend this tour company. Their motto: "Small Group, Big Memories" is so spot on.

Perfect excursion for those of us who had little time to visit Yosemite. The added value was our driver/guide Viktor who accompanied us throughout the entire journey with his professionalism, his preparation and his friendliness. He knew how to organize the day in an exceptional way. I advise!

Stephen (TG) was incredible. Passionate, friendly and with a wealth of knowledge. Excellent work. When people talk about ‘the heart of San Fransisco’ they’re talking about people like Stephen.
His positive and bubbly persona shines throughout, despite the early start! We headed off from San Fransisco to Yosemite at 5:35am with plenty of rest stops along the way. Stephen then guided us around the most beautiful part of Northern California with the intricacy of someone who has intimate knowledge of the area.
His passion for his city and the state in which he lives is brilliant. He makes you feel part of the landscape and will guide you to the best photo spots.
10/10, worth every penny. I would go a step beyond saying ‘highly recommend’ and instead say that you cannot miss the Yosemite tour.

Had a fantastic day with Brian and company! It was a very long drive to and back, but he endeavoured to entertain us all the whole way with his boundless enthusiasm and knowledge. On top of that, we are especially appreciative and thankful for Brian and his colleague for helping us relocate and return my mum's missing wallet during the trip! Thanks for an awesome day!

Although I was born and raised in California, I had never been to Yosemite. I went with Brian from Best Bay Area Tours and the whole experience was just amazing. From start to finish, the attention to detail was second to none and Brian made sure that my experience was the best. It is clear that Brian has a passion for what he does and that he has a vast knowledge of the park. I have actually described Brian to others as knowing the park "like the back of his hand". I highly recommend Brian as a tour guide and this company if you are looking for a great way to get the most out of a short time at Yosemite.

Brian our driver was exceptionally informative about what to expect and varied our trip to take in the best views when the sun was in the right place. Plenty of stops for photos and comfort breaks. Pickup and timings were excellent.

Although a lengthy day our guide Brian remained enthusiastic and knowledgeable from the time of pick up at 0530 until drop off at 820 pm . Stops were well organised, appreciated the coffee and supermarket stop mid way on drive. There was plenty of time to explore the key areas, photo stops, and enjoyed the sequoia walk . Appreciated the video shown on the climbing history of the area and the stop with telescopes to view those climbing on El Capitan.

The trip began early and finished late however we knew that to see so much in one day leaving from our hotel pick up was both convenient and well worth our time and money.
Our guide Alberto was humorous and extremely knowledgeable and all to keen to research and discover even more. He was an experienced and expert driver. With just 14 on our tour we effortly got to know by name most of the other peoples names by the end of the day.
The sights were amazing and we even saw and followed crazy climbers on El Capitan.

It is posibble to stay a little longer in the forest, and reduce that time from one winery ?? or do you have any other tour option with more time in that woods ? If it were a private tour, we could gladly change the itinerary for your group. However, others on the bus want 90 minutes in the woods and three wineries. We have found that the 1-mile stroll in the woods can be enjoyed in the time we spend in the woods.

I would call Best Bay tours directly. Trip Advisor is only a middle man and things happen. Our experiences with the tour company itself have been great and very professional. Enjoy!

Is there a lot of walking and hiking for the Yosemite tour from San Francisco? Is it friendly for senior citizens and young kids? Thanks.

You can do as much or as little walking as you like on this tour. The places our driver stopped allowed for some great photo opportunities. When the tour stops for lunch you have 2 hours to do what you like. There is a restaurant shops or alternatively you can walk to the waterfall or through the trails. A thoroughly enjoyable trip. Elderly & children will find the walks not too difficult.

There isn’t much hiking involved and the vehicles we use are quite comfortable.

Hi, for the Yosemite tour how long/steep is the hike to the redwood trees? Also where does the bus stop for free time and how long do you have for free time? Does the tour stop at the visitors center, or do you visit during your free time? Thank you :)

Hi,
The walk to the trees is on a downlward slope taking about 20 minutes. The walk back is uphill and usually takes about 30 minutes.
The visitors center can be done on your free time which is usually about an hour and a half.
