We had a fantastic day trip to Yosemite with Brian from Best Bay Area Tours. He was very friendly and professional. His extensive knowledge of Yosemite meant we missed the other tour buses at our stops so didn’t have to compete with the crowds. Excellent...More

We just enjoyed a one day trip to Yosemite, and it was really awesome. Phil entertained the small group with some nice background stories and music. Wonderful scenery; a must do activity! Thanks Phil!

So many San Francisco tour companies! (6 Replies)
I am visiting San Francisco in Oct. There are 2 tours I want to take while there. The Muir woods and Sausalito tour and a day tour to Carmel and Monterey. When I started doing research on these tours so many companies popped up! All San Francisco tours, Best Bay Area Tours! The list goes on and on! I don't want to make a mistake and not pick a reputable company. Can someone help me sort through all of this? p.s. I don't want the private tours, too expensive.

yes there are and Oskar our colleague has taken the time to shortlist some in the TOP QUESTION on teh right side so you can choose one from that list What tours are available SF, Muir Woods, Yosemite,Wine Country,Monterey (MAY 2013) You can read reviews and choose one based on your criteria. You have listed 2 in your post. I would say go with Best Bay Area tours Always a good idea to read through the top questions on the forum as we take the time to collate the best of answers...More

Need help deciding how to see City, Muir Woods & Wineries (6 Replies)
On our short visit to San Francisco, we would like to do a tour of the city, see Muir Woods (we are not big hikers so 1 - 1.5 hours is plenty) and go to either Sonoma or Napa. We would like to see some neat wineries and their vineyards, but, we're definitely not wine snobs. From reading this board, we've narrowed down our options to: 1) Mr. Toads city tour - Day 1. Rent car for a day ($100/day for convertible) and see Muir Woods and wineries on own - Day 2. 2) Mr. Toads city tour -...More

Partially it depends upon how much you like being on tours or if you are worried about driving yourself. Personally, I'd opt for #1. This way you get more time to explore on your own. And Muir is so much nicer if you can get there *before* the tour buses and enjoy it in peace and a little solitude. It's worth the early start to get to Muir by 9AM. Have a nice trip!

Has anyone used them? I've read the reviews but I'm a little suspicious because most people who posted a review only have 1 post (review) and nothing else. Any help would be appreciated!
