This bridge and the view of it are breathtaking. The bay and the ocean scenery take your break away. It's best to go during the warm season as the wind and cooler temperatures will make you want to retreat to a cozy fire inside with some warm cocoa.

Avoid driving over if you can, shocking traffic. Nice views of the city and the bay area. Bridge itself was also impressive.

We drove from Fremont to San Francisco on a Friday afternoon around 5pm. Yikes! The Bay Bridge has a beautiful view. It is a must see sight in San Francisco. Unfortunately, the driver couldn't really see much because of traffic. Being tourists, we didn't have a toll pass so we had to be in the lines that accepted payment. There... More

We went to the Bay Bridge while on the Blue and Gold Fleet boat tour while on our family vacation. The bridge is magnificent and the story about it is fascinating. The next time we come we will drive on it and check out the views.

This bridge connects the central city with northern area, and is wide enough to cope up with the traffic. Still there are slow downs. We had the benefit of car pool lane, which can be availed by tourists with family.

A visit to San Francisco is bracketed by two major bridges: the Golden Gate and the Oakland Bay. The new Oakland Bay Bridge is a wonder of engineering coupled to a long time fixture on the San Francisco waterfront. It is a busy bridge. It is easier to ride and view the skyline than to drive. A great way to... More

Drive it only if you need to get somewhere, but the real attraction is the light display at night best seen from the Embaracadero waterfront near the Ferry building.

We ended up taking this bridge since we missed our exit and ended up going through Oakland and it was awful. It took us 45 minutes to get through the toll booths and the attendant said it's like that all the time. The ride over the bridge itself was nice but getting onto it took away from the experience.

It's scenic. You can play with this bridge (photographically). It's in front of you and then right over you since it crosses the walkway that borders the bay.
