Obviously the most iconic spot in San Francisco. It is beautiful, amazing and lives up to all the hype. Take time to walk around the area too, there are great spots to take photos everywhere. Walk across the bridge, look down, there are whales in the area! Look up too, the structure is amazing.

We took a weekend in Napa for our anniversary, and from SFO went accross the Bay Bridge(last time I did that was 35 years ago) and came back via Golden Gate. worth the drive and the views on the Eastern side(east of Treasure Island) are fun and worth the traffic!

The bridge is an amazing site especially when we visited which was November but a beautiful warm sunny day it did take us along time to cross on arrival from the airport but we were in rush hour traffic but was worth the visit

This Bridge is very pretty lit up at night. It even had cloud like light images that scrolled across the sides. It's a pretty view to sit, relax and enjoy.

I came to see the bridge twice, in the morning and in the evening. I packed my breakfast from the market place at Embarcadero waterfront and enjoyed with a full bridge view on the seating benches at the (left) waterfront side of market place. The bridge was spectacular and absolutely gorgeous at night when the light is on. I came... More

The new bridge is a major improvement over the old structure. It has made traffic better than before.

Not sure what you can say about a bridge but the views of San Francisco and San Francisco Bay from the bridge were spectacular.

It will nice to try at least once, from SF to East bay. 1989 broken bridge had been fixed. It was Beautiful and Modern design. You will enjoy the New part of the bridge and always remember the earthquake as well. Humankind overcame the Mother Natural. Hope no earthquake occur again.

Seeing as the Golden Gate bridge is in fog a lot of the time, and doesn't appear to have lights making it visible at night, I'd say that the Bay Bridge is definitely underrated. It's longer than its famous sister bridge and the lights on it are spectacular at night - particularly as seen from along the Embarcadero where you... More
