This was our visit to the Orpheus Theater. We saw Hamilton, an incredible production. The theater is ornate and reminiscent of a bygone theater era. There is reasonable garage parking nearby. The lobby bar is convenient and pricey. We were disappointed in that there were...More

How can you not love being in a space this ornate-- the ceiling, the walls and the painted wooden overhanging areas make you feel like you are in a boat. It doesn't hurt that I have seen Hamilton there twice. Comfortable seats with enough knee...More

The Orpheum theater offers Broadway level performances in a historic San Francisco setting. I’ve seen performances such as Hamilton, Rent, Wicked, Phantom of the Opera, and Les Miserables - all of which were just as wonderful as the same shows I saw in NYC. The...More

The Orpheum Theater first opened in 1926 and was designed by architect B. Marcus Priteca. The interior features a vaulted ceiling, while the facade was patterned after a 12th-century French cathedral. It holds 2,300 people. Great venue if you are still looking to see Hamilton!

We had paid in advance for the drinks to have during the intermission. When we went to get our drinks they weren’t ready and we got told that they had run out of a particular beverage even though we already had paid for it. The...More

Although its streets are best walked during daytime,
numerous cultural gems are within close proximity to
one another. The symphony, opera, ballet, and jazz
center offer year round entertainment within the
shadow of the city’s Beaux-Arts crown jewel: the gold
tipped dome of City Hall.

The theater was busy and crowded. We arrived 20 minutes ahead of time and got to our seats in the back row.
