I cannot go to San Francisco without going to Japantown. I always shop at the Daiso store for some items and the incredibly inexpensive prices. Most times I eat at one of the restaurants like Katara or Sapporo Ramen, but this visit only included a...More

Walked through the shopping area and had dinner in Japan town. Wasn't a must see for us and don't have much need to go back. We did have a pretty good dinner in the area and friends of ours said they had some decent sushi....More

Very small town, nothing special. A lot of Japan cute stuff and authentic Japanese restaurant inside the Japan center Mall. Other than the mall nothing special.

I don't get to see alot of Japanese type areas like this where I'm from. This was an amazing experience for me! While it is not near as good as Japan itself, it does give a nice alternative. There are great Japanese food shops here...More

Visited japantown with my husband and kid who both love everything Japanese. I thought it was a gigantic waste of time. I don't get the attraction of the indoor mall culture or the dollar stores. The crowds were opressive and most restaurants seemed to peddle...More

Japantown SF is well worth a visit, but it's not the typical ethnic enclave that you would expect. This is a collection of businesses, hotels and activities that have been set up in a pre-planned series of buildings and public spaces. You will find excellent...More
