Had tickets to see The Damned Sept. 6. Had heard of GAMF, but never been inside. Doors were supposed to open at seven but it was probably around 7:30 before we were let in. While in line we were stamped and a worker checked out tickets. Once inside, the venue is a throwback to many, many years ago. It is... More

We really enjoyed our first-ever show at the music hall. we were in san francisco on vacation and did not know what to expect from this venue. We joined the line on the street about 30 minutes before the doors opened. By arriving early we were able to get a table in the front close to the stage. Dinner was... More

We attended a company holiday party here which included dinner, live band, and dancing. The architecture and indoor layout is good for a large event. It was a fun location with a lot of history. Some interior areas and decor could be updated but this added a bit to the charm. It was difficult to hold any conversation when the... More

This is an old building whose history is oozing from the walls. Yes - it has seen better days but that's it's charm. Had a blast here getting my American experience from The Weary Boys and The Good Luck Thrift Store Outfit. My favourite night in San Francisco (I'm from Australia). I've stolen a couple of photos of google images... More

My girlfriend and I just attended a Nick Jonas concert here. It actually turned out really good. We got the dinner ticked for $50 each which gave us reserved seating in the balcony and a three course meal. With such a small venue, you really got a great view of the singer from the balcony location. Drinks were a little... More

While in the Bay Area we were lucky enough to catch the performance of Grizfolk and Wild Cub at the Great American Music Hall. The regular admission was only $16.00 which was great but they also offered dinner with admission which included a reserved seat in the balcony for only $40.00. Fabulous deal! The dinner offered 3 selections. We had... More

We just went to a really nice wedding reception here. The upstairs balcony was where they set up for the cocktail hour, and the guests could look down at the band and watch as the room below was being set up for the main reception. The reception hall itself looks like a great old opera house on the inside. Lots... More

The venue is small and intimate. I believe sometimes it is mostly standing room but for our time there, there were tables and chairs and no one stood. So call and find out before going. This was my first time there. I read somewhere to go upstairs to the balcony so that is where I went. Here is the thing....some... More

The Mavericks are new to us, and we saw them in a new venue (for us.) We live an hour away, parked in a city run parking structure, and walked uphill to The GAMH. We ate an early dinner at McD's on the way to the venue. We read that if you want good seats (or ANY seats, for that... More
