Pretty darn close to the Irish coffee served at Shannon airport! It must be the water that makes the difference. Had to have two!

A must visit. Especially on a foggycold night. The original irish coffee which is prepared in a mesmerizing dance will warm your soul. The whipped cream is everything.

I cannot imagine a trip to San Francisco without an Irish Coffee from Buena Vista. Goes just as well with breakfast as any other time of the day. AND you can get a coffee to go. Once we found this out, a stop by Buena Vista was scheduled in the route for each day. I also had a Nutty Irish... More

I visited this place during a late night walk whilst the wife was settling the kids in the Argonaut. I am still yet after so many late nights around the world still trying to find a better Irish Coffee than the one I had here.

The first place to serve Irish coffee in America. Early for such a drink, but went well with the excellent breakfast served here. There are tables and a bar. You seat yourself and if it's full you are welcomed to share a table with someone already seated. Fun, charming, excellent food, and fast service! I highly recommend eating here on... More

This former boarding house turned saloon has been in existence since 1916. On a recent visit to this packed cafe, we were lucky to grab 3 seats at the bar for an up close view of the bartenders making this iconic Irish Coffee. With up to 20 glasses lined up, we watched as this 40 + year employee rapidly first... More

This was our favorite restaurant in San Francisco. We ended up visiting them 3 times during our stay. The Irish coffee is phenomenal! The crab cakes and fish & chips were so delicious!!

Can't go to San Fran without a stop at Buena Vista; the most delicious irish coffee, especially on a cold, dreary day. Neighborhood type atmosphere & noisey😜

A definate must on your list when you visit San Fran. The Irish coffee is so good and it is so entertaining to watch the bartenders! They line the coffee cups on the bar and start pouring and stirring frantically to whip up the best Irish coffee! Even if you don't care for coffee, you need to try it!
