saw a band here while visiting san francisco from the UK! the only problem was that it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, and had to take a LYFT there. but the venue itself was really unique and intimate, and the sound was great! i really liked the layout and decor, and the outdoor area was pretty cool... My friends and I were waiting in a long line, shivering in disbelief as we contemplated how the venue had enough capacity for all of its guests. Lo and behold, we made it to the entrance and realized the venue extends back, where concert goers can order food and sit at tables. There was even a side door leading out... More

Excellent venue to hear off-beat live music. Cool decor and friendly and attentive staff. The decor and layout is uniquely San Fran.

I have been to bottom of the hill a couple times to watch some shows. The bar is in a quite neighborhood with plenty of free street parking. The venue is very small which can add to the appeal. This is the only venue I have been to where you can actually have conversations with the musicians while they are... More

Went here with friends to watch a show. The bar is extremely small (obviously) and the set up is a little strange and clumped together. The stage is the on the far left up against the wall so if you would like a good place to watch and listen, you're either directly in the middle or on the far right... More

This is the kind of place you will find the new up and coming top music makers. You will want to check them out. See who is playing and plan ahead as there will be a line if the band is good. We don't use cabs anymore in this area and SF. We use services like lyft, Uber and Sidecar.... More

This place is hands down my favorite place to catch a concert in the Bay Area. I was first turned onto this place when I went to go see the Jonny Craig, Eye Alaska (now Roy English), Tides of Man and ModSun concert several months back. Since then, I have been back on a handful of times to catch various... More

Just plan on calling a cab to get home after (unless you like to walk). Middle of nowhere, great venue. Note, very safe neighborhood, so safe to walk to downtown from there.
