A little different from the usual Disney museums. This follows Walt Disney's life from childhood - through his Alice cartoons, his first full feature film. It was really interesting and I didn't know of his earlier works before his films (though I'm not a hardcore fan). There are also lots of artworks, videos and displays as well as mock ups... More

We spent several hours at this museum which covers Disney's life from childhood to death. Although I thought I was pretty familiar with this, I did learn some new things and was educated on the technical aspects of his creations. Well laid out over many rooms. Tip: I recommend taking pubic transportation to the Presidio, then it is about a... More

Oh my gosh. The range of material, the manner in which it is displayed, the use of technology, the knowledge of the docents and just the sheer volume of things in the collection is beyond belief. This museum is done in a such a classy and accessible manner that I cannot wait to go back again and again. I live... More

The museum is not about Disneyland. It's about the history if Walt Disney and his family. An excellent thing to do and surprisingly interesting. It is in the Presidio which is beautiful.

An information dense portrait of the life Walt Disney, this museum seeks to tell you everything about the life and endeavors of the man by using first hand accounts of his life. The Positives: The museum doesn't seek to portray only his successes: An entire exhibit is dedicated to the WWII efforts of the corporation and the effect it had... More

This museum is larger than you realize so pace yourself. Give yourself at least 3 hours but you could take all day. There are several rooms with loads of information. One of the rooms is like a mini version of the disney animation attraction at California adventure. You can sit in the center of the room and view different Disney... More

This is a wonderful museum that offers great insights into the life and genius of Walt Disney as well as a great deal about the Disney culture. Don't rush through. We spent about four hours, including time for a coffee break and lunch. The main building offers a comprehensive overview of Disney's life and milestones, as well as the others... More

My wife and I are Disney fans and wanted to visit the museum dedicated to Walt Disney the man. It is one of the best laid out and informative museums I have ever visited. We were there for nearly two and a half hours and unfortunately it was closing so we had to leave. If you are a moderate fan... More
