This exhibit represents a treasure trove of Disney memorabilia. It covers his entire life, from his humble beginnings in Marceline Missouri to his creation of Disneyland. The museum masterfully covers his ground breaking cartooning career and the creation of the Disney Studio in Burbank. Older Disney geeks (such as myself) should be sure to bring their reading glasses, as the... More

If I thought that Walt Disney was cool before, now I think he is a legend. There is something for everyone. It goes through a very thorough biography of Walt and his life, it was like reading a book about him. Some incredible stories from the making of Snow White, helping during the war and his own personal struggles. The... More

The museum covers its topic thoroughly - the life and work of Walt E. Disney. There is a brief section of the Disney family coming to America, and early life moving around the country. Then most of the museum explores the evolving work of Disney, with drawing examples, technology, and video from each of the periods. It was interesting, but... More

I wish I would have budgeted more time to spend here. We showed up 2 hours before closing. It wasn't enough time. The museum is full of artifacts, information and memorabilia. You learn about Walt Disney's parents and his family as well as details about his start and the rise of the Disney empire. We could have spent at least... More

As an avid Disney fan and wannabe Imagineer, visiting the museum was a real treat and gave a unique glance behind the magic of the movies. Firstly, this is a museum run by the Walt Disney family about the man himself - don't go in expecting Disneyland-style attractions as this is a much more informative look at the pioneer and... More

it is not a Disney museum but a Disney Family. Expect halls of drawings and memorabilia. Do not expect any exciting event for your children, it may better fit the parents if they are fans.

Honestly, one of the highlights of our entire California trip was visiting the Walt Disney Family Museum. We are huge Disney fans, and travel to the parks often however, this museum would certainly appeal to even those who are not as into the parks (as they are a very minor focus in this Museum). Most of the exhibits are about... More

Done by Walt Disney's family, this is an outstanding tribute to Walt. The exhibits wander around the building leading you from Walt's start to his vision for Disneyland and Disney World. One interesting item thanks to the family is it is impossible to buy any souvenirs, just food.
