We’ve done a lot of wine tasting across Europe and can honestly state this was the best value wine tour we’ve ever done!

The coach was comfortable, very amusing driver and the scenery there and back was superb.

We visited the Madonna and Gloria Ferrer wineries. Both offered generous glasses of tasting wines and a range of varieties too.

Really good day out! Thanks

These guys are awesome! When the other company we booked our trip through didn’t bother to contact us about moving our booking, Tower went above and beyond to get us rebooked before we went home. The tour was awesome and Marco our guide was entertaining and helpful. The whole trip was fantastic and so worth it.

Visited San Francisco in July 2012 and was happy to find one tour company that made travel easy for our adult son who is confined to a wheelchair. Tower Tours has a new bus that is low to the ground and had a portable ramp that made it very easy for him to get out at each of the stops. A special thanks to Harold from Tower Tours who made sure that everything went smoothly for us. The tour itself was excellent!

My wife and I wanted to have a little time away in the woods to clear our heads, revel in the natural wonder and savor our last full day in San Fran.
From the moment we got on the tour bus, the host would not be quiet for even a moment. His patter was mildly interesting at the start, but when it continued unabated for more than 15 minutes, it became distracting. We couldn't enjoy the splendor of the Golden Gate as he continue to "share" fact after fact and story after story. It was a ceaseless grind all the way to the exit for the windy roads leading to Muir Woods.
And it kept going. Despite the clear need for concentration on some very steep and winding roads, he talked. And talked, And talked. When he opened the door to the bus, my wife and I both darted for the entrance, just to get a moment...even a second...away from his voice. We calmed as we went through the woods together, but upon our return to the bus, he was there, waiting to talk more.
All the way back the winding roads, he talked. Down to the very last second as we pulled into Sausalito, he talked.
And all we could talk about over a late lunch? The endless drone of the driver.
Find another tour. Find someone who understands that vacation is an escape, not an opportunity to bend the collective ears of a captive audience.

Dear cnpritch, We apologize your tour guide's narration was too much to bear. Many of our guides have been in the industry for decades and are very enthused to share information to their captive audience. We will remind them to leave some quiet moments for your reflection, most especially on a tour such as Muir Woods. Thank you again for your feedback. We hope the remainder of your visit to San Francisco was enjoyable. Warm Regards, Janet R.

We were a little apprehensive of doing the tour because it was our first time visiting Napa and Sonoma and we almost planned on driving ourselves and doing our own thing. Glad we reconsidered and booked this tour. This tour was very well organized and coordinated.

The shuttle picked us up at our hotel as they had indicated they would and took us to the meeting point by the bay. Once we boarded the tour bus Silvio, our tour guide provided us with very good information of all the areas we toured. He was very knowledgeable, truly loves his craft. The tour is a long day therefore, I recommend wearing comfortable shoes as you will be getting on and off the bus to visit the different wineries. There is ample opportunity for the wine tasting, some shopping, lunch and taking pictures.

We really enjoyed this trip! Highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Napa and Sonoma for the first time! Will be back again!!!

Excellent package with expected tour knowledge of SF area and history. Alcatraz was amazing. The unexpected part was the direct asking of a $5, $10, $15, $20 at the end of the Bus Tour with his hand out each time a customer departed the bus. No hesitations! It looked like this was his entitlement for a job well done! Not in my books! The price of the tour was sufficient!

I was royally disappointed in this tour. The tour guide was very friendly and nice, gave LOTS of information about San Fran and everything leading up to Muir woods. We were told the tour would be 3 hours. I figured 3 hours IN Muir woods. The reality was that it took almost an hour to get there, and and a little under an hour to get back.

We were allocated less than 1 hour in the woods. It was a huge disappointment considering that's all I wanted to see and it felt EXTREMELY rushed. We had to stick on the main path and could not go on the side trails because we would have missed the bus ride back.

They should tell you that in all reality that 3 hour tour is only an hour, and the rest is travel time.

Shame on me for not doing more researching. You can get a parking pass for $8 at the park (must reserve), then it's only $10 per person. I feel ripped off that we spent close to $200 for 3 people to spend an hour at most in the actual Muir Woods site.

Be forewarned.

My original tour was cancelled twice. So when Tower Tours contacted me....there really was no other choice. We cleared a day to do a tour so we chose to do the full day wine tour. The day dragged on. We went to 3 wineries and had a 90 minute lunch. Listening to the bus driver ramble on and on was painful. The bus was ok. I wish I could get a full refund because I was beyond disappointed. I wish Tower Tours tried harder to accommodate its customers.

The bus was plush and comfortable and our guide Al is extremely knowledgeable about his city. He made the drive up engaging and interesting. Muir Woods is everything and I’m so glad we chose Tower Tours to lead this journey!
