We took the bus to the Presidio and strolled back to Fisherman's Wharf, passing by this one-time airfield. The information signs made it more interesting than it first appeared.

Crissy Field is great when it's warm. There are a few BBQ grills that you can leverage to host a BBQ. There are also benches for you to put your food on to have a feast. Note that there are a ton of people here...More

You wont fit in here if you don't have yoga pants and a dog. It was literally all joggers with dogs. But the view of the bridge is nice, pretty nice sunset, I just felt out of place.

Just being on the San Francisco beach is a joy, plus Crissy field has coffee shops, sculptures and nature patches. From the Field one canenjoy the wondrful Bay vistas, the old Fort, and the Golden Gate bridge.

This park had a very local feel because there were people playing with their dogs, and a beach yoga class. You can see the Golden Gate and Alcatraz from here. This is also close to several great restaurants and other San Francisco favorites.

Walked through from Golden Gate Bridge to town. Huge walk but scenic. Great park with lots of space. Great use of hangars along the way. Fantastic sports shop at the end with many bargains! Would loved to have picnicked but not enough time!

the bus to the Precede will drop you close to the path that goes down to the path under the bridge, I believe. There is also a bus on Marina Way or whatever it is that goes to it directly and that can be transferred to form... More
