I took Dylan’s “Famous Tour,” an informative, fun spin through San Francisco’s highlights — from Twin Peaks to the Presidio. From the city we crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and lunched in Sausalito before visiting Muir Woods. Patrick was our tour guide and made the day so much fun. Not only did we learn a lot of fun facts about San Francisco, we also learned about the city’s musical history — and won chocolate as prizes for answering trivia questions!

I highly recommend this company and tour — it’s a great value — and hope you’re lucky enough to get Patrick as your guide.

Had a wonderful small group tour with Dylan's Famous Tour today. Visited many of San Francisco's districts with plenty of stops for photos in the morning. We then crossed the Golden Gate Bridge and had a longer lunch stop in Sausalito, followed by Muir Woods. Our driver/ guide Rolando was brilliant, full of information, stories tips and suggestions about our route and the city in general. His enthusiasm and energy were contagious. He was an excellent driver. I would say that the pace and timings were spot on. We departed from next to the Hyde St Pier at Fishermans Wharf on time and he did a couple of drop offs on the way home which was much appreciated. The bus was comfortable and the group size around a dozen people just right. We loved the musical interludes-listening to Tony Bennett singing about leaving his heart in San Fransisco as we crossed the bridge was magic. Thanks to all the team for a memorable day.

Hi, I'm so glad to hear your enjoyed your Famous Tour with Rolando! His personality definitely is contagious, and he we certainly agree he does a great job keeping the group safe and entertained throughout the day. We'll be sure to pass along the kind words to him. As you mentioned, all of our tours are small group to keep the intimate feel. Thanks again for taking our tour and we hope to see you again! Sincerely, Dylan

Due to mobility issues, we booked a private tour with Dylan's Tours while visiting San Francisco on a cruise ship stop. Rrrrrolondo (roll the R) was just perfect. The van was clean & modern, his driving was safe & courteous, and his upbeat energy was contagious. I knew San Francisco pretty well but had never been there as a true tourist. Rolando combined the history of neighborhoods with the future they are moving toward. He provided insight only a native would know. The commentary was not just informative but thought provoking. I feel 100% sure I chose the best tour. Yes, it was not inexpensive, but it was excellent value and FAR better than any tour which might have been offered by the cruise company. Rolando was sensitive to our needs (physical limitations) while maximizing our immersion in "the city". Thank you Rolando and Dylan's Tours.

Hi, I am so happy to hear you had a great time on your private tour! We will be sure to pass along the kind words to Rolando. As you mentioned, it is our goal to show San Francisco through the eyes of a local and therefore all of our tours are given by local guides only. Thanks again for your kind words and we hope to see you again soon! Sincerely, Dylan

I took Dylan's Most Famous Tour. This was a very enjoyable day. Our driver, Patrick, kept us alert with some facts and anegdotes about the city, mixed with onboard quizes (chocolate for each correct answer was a nice motivator), we even got a chance to sing-along. We saw the city centre from the bus and were taken to the fabulous view points (Twin peaks, Golden Gate) and had some time for photos there. Muir Woods was a nice finale after few hours on the bus and it is really beautiful and worth seeing. We also got the amazing weather to add to that! My jet lag didn't have a chance to kick in!

This tour is totally worth the money, and, if you book with Dylan, you are getting a small local business, not a big national company. The tour was comprehensive and informative—and, most importantly, fun! Patrick was a great guide with lots of local knowledge, appropriately cheesy jokes, and a penchant for Name that Tune featuring songs recorded at the Record Plant in Sausalito. We earned lots of Ghirardelli chocolates (which, we now know, are no longer made in San Francisco!) for guessing the tunes and other trivia. We also got fantastic pictures because Patrick knew just where to stop and how to frame a great shot. We did the city tour, Muir Woods, and Alcatraz, and it was a great day. All in all, a great introduction to the city—highly recommend!

Desmond was our tour guide for the electric bike tour and he was AMAZING. My husband and I could not rave enough about him to our friends and family. His guided tour was so animated, funny, and very personal. We got to talk with some residents of the city outside of Presidio Park and Desmond stopped to show us many different houses and landmarks. The ride itself was pretty easy with the electric bikes, definitely would recommend using an electric bike versus a manual bike to ride around San Francisco! If you have the option to take a tour with Desmond as your guide I would absolutely tell you to take one without hesitation! It was also very nice that we got to keep our bikes after the tour until 6pm. My husband and I actually retraced the path we originally took since Carl the fog was previously in the bay during our tour. 10/10 recommend Dylan’s Tours and Desmond the tour guide.

We enjoyed a great tour with Patrick. We drove around various areas in SF, a stop to see GG bridge, drive over the bridge to Sausalito, twin peaks and muir woods. Patrick is a great guide, v knowledgable with great stories and interacted with us all trip with games. My only observation is that more time in Sausalito would be welcome. An hour isn’t enough time to get lunch and explore.

Hi, thanks for taking our tour, we're so glad Patrick was able to show you a good time! As you said, our Famous Tour covers all of San Francisco, as well as Sausalito and Muir Woods. We'd love to spend as much time as possible in Sausalito, while recognizing the fact that as a tour operator we have certain times we need to be in Muir Woods, as well as allow enough time to return to San Francisco after the tour. We hope you were able to enjoy the rest of the tour, and could make it back to Sausalito at another point during your trip to continue taking in its endless beauty! Thank you again for taking our tour and providing your valuable feedback, we hope to see you again next time you're in San Francisco! Sincerely, Dylan

My family and I did a private group tour with Aaron as our guide and it was really wonderful! Aaron had a great energy that really added to the experience and was extremely knowledgable about all things San Fransisco. The tour was informative with plenty of time for pictures and exploring. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are looking to learn more about the city or hit all of the sites in one day!

We are so glad we chose Dylan’s Tours to show us around San Francisco. Our guide Rolando was fantastic, friendly, informative, flexible, fun!!! We chose to do a private tour with our group of 18 people ages 6-69. The 25 passenger bus was perfect space for us. We loved not having to drive and park ourselves all over the city and we loved how much we got to see. Rolando was also super flexible when we told him we just had to put our feet in the ocean. Everyone of us had a great time and enjoyed this tour immensely.

This tour was amazing. Beginning at Fisherman’s Wharf, the guide Captain Roger provided an entertaining and informative trip over the GG Bridge to Muir Woods. Breathtaking views on a clear day sprinkled with interesting and fun antidotes. Just the right amount of time in Muir Woods and Sausalito, followed by a drive through beautiful neighborhoods. Best SF experience ever!
