We didn't do much more here than drive by the Mrs. Doubtfire house, but it was fun to see that. It was easy to find and park on the street right in front of it for a quick picture.

I really enjoyed wandering around Pacific Heights. Fillmore St has great shopping and cafes. Alta Plaza Park is great for views/photos. We went to Haas Lilienthal House where for $8 you can have a guided tour of this mansion. Venture down Broadway to see Billionaire's Row where you can see all the expensive mansions. We also went to 2640 Steiner... More

During our movie tour I was disappointed to learn that the house on which the movie “Pacific Heights” is centered isn’t located in Pacific Heights. All thoughts of that disappeared when we stopped at the “Mrs. Doubtfire House” at 2640 Steiner. What a treat that was! It was interesting and more than a bit sad to read the messages on... More

Had a fantastic walk through this neighbourhood on my way to doing other things like seeing Lombard St and the Painted Ladies and I loved passing through here. The buildings and the colours and the ambiance was great, would have loved to have spent more time wandering around but so it goes.

We walked through and around Pacific Heights several times during our stay in San Fran. It's a very affluent area in the city and it's lovely to admire all the stunning properties and pretty roads. There is also lots of lovely shops and restaurants in the Pacific Heights neighbourhood. In feels much calmer than then rest of the city and... More

The Pacific Heights neighborhood is amazingly beautiful! Upscale from the magnificently manicured landscaping, waterfront views and well-built homes. This private area has plenty to offer in the surrounding grounds; just a short walk away from restaurants, shops, San Fran landmarks, museums, parks and whatnots. Take a gander you'll enjoy the sight. I did. ~Christy

My mother and I visited the Pacific Heights neighbourhood during the afternoon of August 2nd. We arrived there via MUNI bus from the Mission District. I really enjoyed wandering the residential streets in this neighbourhood and discovering some amazing views and beautiful mansions for houses to admire. The intersections of Broadway and Vallejo Streets and Fillmore and Steiner Streets offered... More

Hilly Pacific Heights has the general boundaries of Bush Street, Presidio Avenue, Union Street and Van Ness Avenue. For those who enjoy shopping, many mostly upscale shops exist on Fillmore Street. As an architecture buff, however, I find it fun to amble through the quiet, residential parts of the neighborhood, looking at the myriad mansions and the lovely Painted Ladies... More
