Review of: Beach Blanket Babylon Show Ticket
Campy good time will be sorely missed. My wife and I were able to catch a show a couple of years ago and recommended it to anyone we knew who was visiting SF. The humor, the silly story, the goofy songs, and the fantabulous head dresses made for a great night out. The atmosphere was electric. But all good things must sadly come to an end. The closure of BBB leaves a hole in the SF entertainment scene.…

It breaks my heart that Beach Blanket Babylon is closing after all these years! :( I've seen it many times and loved every single minute of it. It is/was quintessential San Francisco and worth every cent. I'd go back a hundred more times if I could. I've never seen another show anywhere that could compare with the costumes, talent, originality, timliness and just plain fun. So sorry to see it go. If you weren't lucky enough to experience it your really missed something very special.…

All of the singers/dancers were amazingly talented. The costumes were very creative. Where I lost interest is when they started bashing conservative personalities and many of the crowd cheered it on. Ruined it! Why can't we have some great entertainment without having liberal, hateful, crap shoved down our throats! They can write this show without a lick of politics and it would be amazing. We all need a break from it please!…

WORST THEATRE !!!!! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY !!!!!. One would think that after all of these years, management would be more concerned about the comfort, satisfaction, and positive experience of their guests and figured out that staggering the seats would help patrons see better. Instead there are rows of people looking at the back of everyone's head, all the way from the front to the back. Patrons keep moving their heads side to side to see the performance, which means all of the rows behing them are doing the same. You sit hip/hip/ shoulder/shoulder. Management is only concerned about themselves and their profits and you can see how well that has worked out for them. I watched as the Manager (I'll refer to him as "The Empty Suit") REFUSED to help people with special needs. Glad he'll be out of a job soon. The wait staff were rude and yelling out comments from the rear of the theatre during the performance. Although the show tries to keep current, most of it is still the same old, same old. IT'S NOT A PLEASANT EXPERIENCE!!!! ONCE AGAIN. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME OR YOUR MONEY!!!!! Management need not respond, as I'm not interested in reading your LAME EXCUSES!!!!…

What an awesome show !! Always enjoy seeing Beach Blanket Babylon. Have been a few times. Taken my older daughter before and wanted to make sure that my younger daughter was able to see it before the end of the year. Made a special trip just to see the Sunday show. A very big Thank You to the Silver family for their vision & commitment !! Thank you so much to Jo Schuman Silver for her tireless commitment and dedication to carry the legacy. So many shows, so many years, so many lives touched !!! To push the boundaries of "social & political correctness" and help so many to laugh. Thank you to all the cast over the years, to the production and house staff and musicians !!! I know that my daughters and I will enjoy the memories !! Best…
